Our tour bus used a step on guide from the Natchez Visitor's Bureau and she was wonderful! We saw 3 homes, all unique and all well restored. If you like history and old houses, then the Pilgrimage is for you. Certain homes are open the year around, but during the Pilgrimage, a number of private homes are open to the... More

We were in awe the whole time, we visited these amazing plantation homes. Places we had only seen in books and movies was now in front of us. The architecture and expanse of these places left one breathless. It was truly returning to a bygone day.The whole affair was very well organized. This would be good for all ages. Children would... It is my pleasure to be in this biannual event arranged by Natchez Garden Club since 1930s. Tour tickets (morning, afternoon or combo) can be purchased online or at the visitor center and after that you can go to three houses at your pace or take the shuttle from the visitor center for $3 more (well worth it in my... Natchez is an unbelievable national treasure. Everything is beautiful and the homes are without equal. Just being there you feel like you are stepping back in time. I have been going to Natchez for over 20 years. It's probably my favorite place to go. The pageant isn't something I would go to over and over again, but I would definitely... More

We only had one day in Natchez to take advantage of the house tours. We got our tickets ahead of time and picked them up at the Visitor Center. We toured 3 houses in the morning and in 2 of them actually met the owners. Beautiful homes and interesting tours. One of the homes, Dunbar (I think), was given to... More

We happened upon this event by chance last Spring and had a great time. The homes were a sight and we learned a lot about the people who lived in them. But to really get the most out of the experience you have to engage the hostesses and ask questions. The town goes all out during the event, complete with... More

After reading some reviews I had low expectations but I must say I was thoroughly surprised by how much I enjoyed the Historic Natchez Pageant. The event was well worth the price of the ticket considering how much hard work goes into a production like this, In addition the proceeds go towards the hefty expenses of preserving the beautiful period... The pilgrimage of homes is very nice, but the Pageant was so bad that we left after 30 minutes. More

Went to Natchez for their annual Spring Pilgrimage during the middle of the week in March. '09. I had looked at their website prior to leaving home, but waited until I got to the visitor center late Wednesday to purchase my tickets for the next day's tour. I went on the RED tour Thursday morning. For a small additional fee... More

First time for the pilgrimage. We enjoyed the houses and Longwood. I would like to go back to see other houses. More
