Staying at the Joseph Stone House is a wonderful experience. Not only is Joe a gracious host, but he is also a phenomenal piano player. I have enjoyed listening to piano all my life but have never had someone explain what they were about to play as Joe did. Truly inspirational!

An evening piano program of five pieces played by Mr. Newman of Natchez. Each piece was elegantly explained to us so we could appreciate the numerous subtleties throughout. This was the most original attraction by far considering the quality of music for the wonderful value. Be prepared to be wowed at the historic atmosphere of the home that transforms into... More

With our minimal musical background we weren't sure we would appreciate the concert, but Joe explained each piece before he played and we came away with a greater appreciation and understanding of classical music. We would recommend it to others!

We are a couple in our late twenties visiting Natchez on a roadtrip and saw this as top rated on trip advisor. Making reservations was easy as a simple phone call. Show starts around 5:30p and is followed by a house tour. It was very memorable and Joe was very friendly and personable! We are not avid classical music fans... More

Imagine sitting amongst beautiful antiques inside a unique and special Antebellum property in Mississippi, sipping wine and listening to the direct descendant of the home owner playing concert piano just as those living more than 100 years ago would have heard it. Mr Stone's performance in his family home us a once in a lifetime experience and well worth doing.... More

This was about our fourth trip to Stone House. We enjoyed (again) the musical selections played by this accomplished pianist. Joe Stone is also a great cook. We had raisin and almond scones, biscuits, poached eggs with a lemon and pepper sauce, and a delicious ham dish made with pecans, mozzarella, and pepper jelly. He has made several improvements to... While staying at the Stone House Bed and Breakfast in Natchez, Mississippi, we were treated to the musical talents of the owner, Mr. Joe Stone. As a birthday treat, he provided us with a piano concert with selections from Brahms, Chopin, as well as a new favorite of mine, Gottschalk. The music was carefully selected, and Mr. Stone gave a... Mr. Stone's evening concert on his 1903 Steinway grand piano was outstanding. The selections covered various periods of time and each was introduced with an explanation of their significance. Glass of wine, beautiful music and lovely setting. Who could ask for more?

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the the concert that Joe hosted the first night we arrived. We were about to visit with the other guests in the house, and enjoy complimentary wine as we listened. He is a true talent, and provides an atmosphere that is unmatched to anything we've seen thus far in Natchez--and we have been to Natchez... More
