Fact: The streets roll up in Mill Valley around 8pm. However, Tuesday night is comedy night, there are various concerts, plays and events here. The famous Mill Valley Film Festival uses this charming old theater, every year. Mort Sahl appears here quite frequently.

We come to see "Los Pings" here every year. Large enough but still intimate. We also reserve our seats to sit up front. The dancers can be annoying. Should keep to the sides not block the stage.

This place is darling. Try the comedy show on Tuesday nights. They do sell treats and wine in the lobby. The chairs are not very comfortable so if you have a bad back, note they do not offer any lower back support.

This is a very nice theatre but the seating is a bit cramped. It wasn't filled when we were there but I imagine it could be a bit uncomfortable when crowded. Nice comedy acts when we went. Plenty of parking around and a lot of restaurants to enjoy before the show. Wine beer served along with a few snacks. Nice... More

Great HomeTown Venue with world class acts. Friendly staff and ambiance. Good place for comedy or to go dancing or to hear some excellent music. And it is a great place to watch your kids' friends in hometown productions on their way to stardom. I really enjoy this place and value this venue for Mill Valley

Came across the Tuesday comedy nights at the Throckmorton when staying in the area for a month and went along a couple of times. Having been to comedy clubs before I know they can be patchy but I thoroughly enjoyed both nights and the relaxed hosting by Mark Pitta. Nice touch is the performers making themselves available for a chat... More

This is a fantastic little theater but big talent. The ONLY drawback is the seating...crummy little seats and tables crammed in. But the rest is wonderful.

We are regulars for Tuesday night comedy, and always have a good time. There are off nights, when we don't love all the comedians, but in spite of that we keep coming back-and are always entertained. We've also been to hear music and the venue is the perfect sized.

Mill Valley wouldn't be the same without the Throckmorton theater. Offering live entertainment. There is always something tempting on the menu. Tuesday nights comedy is a sure bet for fun!
