We found GeofunTrek on Tripadvisor and due to the reviews called them up. Cindy did not disappoint. She had plenty of information about the various sights. We had younger children with us when we went and she did a great job keeping them involved as well as still being able to give information that the adults liked. It was a... More

John was a terrific guide and his extensive knowledge of geology really added to our tour of the Black Hills, Custer National Park, Crazy Horse and Mount Rushmore. John has a wonderful disposition and it was a wonderful day! We highly recommend their services.

CharmleePark, Thanks for the great review! Now let me make it personal. Last night was New Years Eve and Cindy and I were reminiscing and speculating. Cindy wistfully asked me what my priorities were for the coming year; it only took a second for me to answer: "Have as much fun giving tours next year as I had this year."... More

We got a phone call the night before from Cindy from Geofun Trek the night before our tour. As it turned out our group tour turned into a private tour as everyone else was apparently going to the Annual Muster. Cindy thought we may have just flown in from Down Under and offered us a later start. Cindy Picked us... More

With limited time in South Dakota, my family and I wanted to visit Mount Rushmore and its neighbouring attractions. Our local tour agent gave us the GeoFun Trek contact and scored a bullseye with this company. It was a private tour, and John, our tour guide proved to be exceptional. The vehicle was extremely comfortable. And John was a fount... More

Sushara, Thank you for the warm and wonderful review. One of the pleasures of our business is the opportunity to spend an entire day with guests and share the beauty, history and culture of our area and its many attractions. For years I have believed that the differences between peoples of different races, cultures, countries and continents are superficial and... More

John really brought the Badlands to life. He is so knowledgeable of the history of this area. Even though an overcast day, the sunset was visible at the end of our tour.

Retiree 2004, Thanks for your review. The badlands never cease to amaze and delight me too! The filtered light of the setting sun adds an ever-changing palette of colors and shadows. Keep searching for these great experiences and we will do the same. Thanks again, John Esposti GeoFunTrek Tours More

He can make the sun come out. Well ok maybe not, but he did promise he'd work on getting the sun to shine for my pics and sure enough just at the right moment, the magic happened. We hired John for a private tour of the area for the day. He really added a lot of great info and fun... More

Dear Jazz, Music and magic are a great combination. One of my favorite challenges is to take a day with variable weather and playing the cards I am given and making it look like magic. I am grateful that you appreciate the efforts and that the results were pleasing. Good luck with all your travels and enjoy every song and... More

The Black Hills in full autumn glory with John as a guide. Lots of geology, lots of history about Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse and Custer. A great tour - started with the Buffalo roundup then to Mammoth ending with a scenic ride back to Keystone - a full day with John. His knowledge of the area, geology combining with history and interesting stories plus cowboy poetry.
