When my family and I went to The Black Hills, caving was on the short list of adventures that we wanted to do. I did some research on other caves in the area and this one was the closest and looked to have the nicest tour or adventure options. When we first arrived we had a hard time finding parking,... More

During our last visit to the Black Hills I wanted to show my wife one of the caves. We stopped at Wind Cave and found there was an hour and a half wait for the next cave tour and it was one that lasted two hours. We didn't want to invest 3 and a half hours so we drove on.... More

I was fortunate to get an off-season tour from "Carter," one of the cave experts who loves caving so much he even got married there! It wasn't too crowded so we could "rush less" (sorry). This cave is long and has a huge variety of narrow passages and wider areas and the famous "big room." We got both the scientific... More

Rushmore Caves gave us a unique experience of seeing geology beneath the grounds we walk on. It's amazing the caverns that are located here and that it goes on & on. It also was a nice break from the heat of the day -- going from 104 outside to mid-50's in the cave was a pleasant relief. More

The tour guide ruined our visit here. She didn't want to answer questions and seemed visibly annoyed when a question was asked. If you want to see a cave while in the Black Hills area, I highly recommend driving the extra distance south to Wind Cave National Park. Much better value and they actually like to teach their customers. More

Again, as a local...this is one of my top choices as fas as tourist attractions in the area. It is a very well maintained, staffed, and thought out tour. From the moment you are on the grounds, you can tell these people care about you and their business! The tour guides are great and do a fantastic job at meeting... More

The cave tour was good, make sure you take a jacket. Lots of steps. I was disappointed in the zipline. We waited in a long line to ride, even my kids, 12 and 8, thought it was nothing great. More

Our family really enjoyed the cave tour. Our daughters (11 & 8) both listed it as one of the highlights of our vacation, even though our older one got a little claustrophobic during the initial part of the tour (which they do state is the hardest part). Really no more than some ducking for taller people. She got over it... More

I went on the regular cave tour and the guide was great. we all loved it. I loved it so much i came back the next day for the Xpedition adventure tour. Let me tell you: this tour is not for the faint of heart, but the tour was great. the guide was also great. There were only 3 of... More

A cut above most Keystone activities. This was my second visit to Rushmore Cave. The cave tour is good length and really quite amazing. The price is a little steep, but they obviously invest in their infrastructure and staff, which combined with the quality of the cave makes for acceptable value. More
