My review is going to come in a few parts, as there is tons to do at the Rushmore Cave. Last night we mined for gems and rode the zip line. Both of these were pretty typical, average things that you'll find while touring the Black Hills. We (my mom, stepdad, little sister, and my boyfriend) all decided to try... More

We did the cave tour, mining and ziplines. It was very touristy, but hey we were tourists! I thought the cave tour was interesting, the guide was outstanding. He kept the tour interesting, despite it being kind of long. We did learn that if you get into the cave and decide it's not for you, about 10 minutes into the... More

We only had time to do the cave tour. It came highly recommended by different people we ran into while exploring the Black Hills. It was a great tour! The guide loves exploring caves and knew the history and geological features of the cave. He knew how to share the information about the cave for the kids too! We would... More

If you've taken a tour of a cave anywhere else, you probably can save your money and don't stop. That being said, it's very interesting, little cool considering it was upper 80's when we stopped. Tour takes about an hour and gift shop has all the rocks you could ever want with identification sheets for sale.
