I thought the other reviewers were being a bit soft when they said wear beach shoes - but they are correct. The pebbles - that become stones and rocks as you walk into the sea - are quite brutal so definitely wear beach shoes. The view is nice and sea is clear, but not better than Portixol in my opinion.

I visited this cove with a couple of friends in August, we thoroughly enjoyed the clear water in certain areas and the fantastic views o the sea, however, pebble beaches can become rather unpleasant, especially when it comes to actually getting in the water, another point to make is that if one goes, they should either arrive early morning or... Most gorgeous setting but very pebbly, so solid beach shoes a must! Fabulous views but gets very busy in height of Summer, you need to be up early to get a decent parking spot, Good point is that parking is free, However the hire of parasols and sun-loungers in ridiculously high. Better to take your own if at all possible.... More

Quiet and selcuded (if you don't go in July or August !). Lovely setting and some good walks, albeit steep, to view the beach from above. Stoney so bring beach shoes if you are going to swim. Plenty of parking if you avoid July and August. 2 or 3 restaurants but limited opening times in winter. Great place to picnic.

Nice beach with beautiful views. The rock beach is fairly comfortable but do go early (before 10 am) to avoid a long walk to the beach. In August the beach is packed from around 11. The sunbeds are expensive at €9,- per day. A parasol comes extra. There is a platform in the sea to swim to and dive from.... More

As mentioned in one of my other reviews of Javea, at the local Tourist Information centre, for the pricely sum of 1,00 Euro you can buy a small collection of walking routes for the hills in the area. Early one evening we decided to get some exercise with the dog and do a small part of the hike starting at... More

It was so lovely to be on a beach where you are surrounded by Spanish, I didn't hear a word of English the whole day. They all know about this little gem of a beach, admittedly it was very crowded but I havn't found a nice beach in Spain that isn't. Apart from the fun-loving locals, the scenery is tranquil... More

Beautiful views along the very windy road leading to the bay. The water is very clear but the beach is stoney so not to everyone's taste. Sun beds and parasols are available to hire but are quite expensive. There are a couple of restaurants with views over the beach offering good food at reasonable prices. Well worth a visit even...
