Choose your time carefully as the castle grounds are closed during the afternnoon ! So have a late lunch and visit after 4.30pm. Well worth a visit, the views are worth the walk up to the castle. More

The ruins of the castle are very picturesque and offer fantastic views. While safe to walk on, the ground was very uneven and trees grow where the rooms once were. The Museum had an interesting display of images of Denia from a century ago, showing the town before it was developed. Sadly the artifact cases were only labelled in spanish. More

... the sprawling castle and grounds are a short up-hill walk from the train station (check opening hours at tourist office first). There are obviously plans afoot for renovation and more facilities but all is proceeding at a leisurely pace. In the meantime, the museum (admission included in entry price) has some interesting exhibits although all information is in either... More

Denia itself is a lovely city to visit since it is the one which remains more spanish among the mediterranean coast towns along the Alicante province. And while there The Castle as well as The Montgo have a lot to offer More

The museum is located on a hill, so the views were amazing! The castle is the main attraction of Denia, so it's a must-see! There is also a museum in the castle. It's 3 euro entrance, so it's really cheap. The best thing to do is to come around 11 o'clock, because in the afternoon its was too hot and... More
