We have been to A lot of visitor centers in the past and it is always the same old blah blah blah. The Frederick visitors center is the exception. It is part visitors center part museum. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and took time to actually explain to us the area and what we were looking for.

Ironic that the visitor centre is more highly rated than most of the attractions, but credit where it is due, this is impressive with large posters, plenty of leafets, great staff. A credit to Frederick, well done.

The staff was great at answering questions, and the movie and exhibits were very interesting. I would definitely stop here to get an overall view of Frederick before touring around.

Great first stop in this lovely city. The staff was very welcoming and noted that parking ticket could be validated for 3 free hours at the center. They recommended the short movie to introduce us to Frederick and Frederick County - nice. They provided maps and directions to the sites we wanted to see. Great - thanks City of Frederick.

A simple, yet well done display of Fredericks history, to include a movie room for learning about the role of Frederick during the civil war. Lots of brochures, area maps as well as friendly and eager staff to guide you in the right directions and answer any questions. Easy parking.
