This historic theatre in downtown Frederick offers up a wide range of events. I recently went with a friend to see a live comedian, Rocky LaPorte. No clue who this guy was, but we went for the same reason everyone else did, we wanted to laugh. Laugh we did. There were two opening acts before the main comedian. They were... More

This is a beautifully restored theater for the performing arts located in the middle of downtown Frederick. Plenty of easy parking close to the venue. Lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. I would definitely see another performance in this location. (I saw Golden Acrobats of China which was A++++). Ticket prices vary for every performance but I am... More

A great variety of talent goes through this venue. This is one old theater in downtown Frederick which has been restored to its old splendor.

At the time, there were not to many artists. The artwork was great, and it is still a nice place to see, but it is not too much different that other art places.

We visited the Weinberg Center for the first time to see a jazz concert. The theater is very large and seating is comfortable. We had a great view of the stage. The staff serves drinks (both alcoholic and non) in the lobby as well as a variety of snacks. Parking is close by in a city-owned parking garage. All-in-all, a... More

The Weinberg Center for the Arts is a jewel in downtown Frederick. Having been restored to its original beauty, The Weinberg Center is a great place to take in a live performance. The acoustics are good, the seats are comfortable and you will be able to travel to a time to the early 20th century. The management attracts great acts,... More

This intimate performance space was a movie theater in the 50s & 60s; now it hosts live entertainment and occasional movie showings sponsored by a local brewery. National acts show up here with amazing frequency - from Arlo Guthrie to the Baltimore Symphony. The speaker series is a great buy, as well. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance. The... More

We visited the Weinberg Centre for the Arts (AKA Weinberg Theatre) recently to see a Mary Chapin Carpenter performance. It was wonderful. We've loved everything we've seen at the Weinberg over the years. They offer silent movies, with the old Wurlitzer playing throughout the movie. They have terrific live shows, with an array of performers - Ballet, Rock, Pop, Opera,... More

My friend and I really enjoyed seeing Jeanne Robertson at the Weinberg last night. It's a beautiful older venue. But it was rather warm in the auditorium. Might just be too early in the season for air conditioning, but many were using their programs as fans. Regardless, I'd attend another performance there anytime!

I love their events and it's a smaller venue so there isn't generally a bad seat in the house. They have various events from local dance troops to well known artists putting on concerts.
