Not really a city and yet too big to be called a village.

Very pleasant place, with two small enchanting plazas, the old port of the town has the typical narrow cobbled streets that make the place so interesting.

This is more than a little Seville! A city with a lot of history, where you can visit its own Parador, which was a former castle and part of a convent, the old town with its two squares, Plaza Grande and Plaza Chica, which are full of people and bars offering great tapas, beautiful churches. Zafra is a hidden gem!

A great place to spend half a day or even a day, but probably no more than that. It's pretty well pedestrianised, so you can walk along the narrow whitewashed streets without bothering about traffic. There are old churches to visit if you like - the church of St Clare, with funerary statues beside the altar of the first Duke... More

The two adjacent old squares are well worth spending some time. Both have a nice atmosphere. Spend another couple of hours walking the old streets and a look at the Alcazar (Parador) and you have spent as much time as you need to. Definitely worth a stop over if passing nearby.
