At sunset the dessert heat gave way to a refreshing breeze and the boys talked our ears off about all the stars twinkling above. I was already riding a wave of nostalgia when, five minutes before the movie started they showed an animated short that looked like it was taken straight out of the 50's. The shows were good; two... Haven't experienced the opportunity to watch a film there, but I've visited the place three years running (in January), and have felt the ghosts of yesteryear nibbling at my heels as I romp around THE SKYLINE's wide open space(s).

Not many drive-in movie theaters left. This one in Barstow has been around, for the most part, since the 60's. Many good memories of great family fun!!

Went to see San Andreas and Project Almanac at the Skyline Drive-in recently with my husband. We absolutely LOVE the drive-in and is the only place we go to a movie anymore. It's such a great evening sitting outside under the stars. This is a MUST if you're driving through Barstow.

If you continue up the road a block or so on your right u will see a chain link fence and some strange looking cars. Do you recognize them? They are what is left from the original Mad Max movies made back in 1979 and in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome in 1985. They are a little weather beaten but you... More

We went to the drive-in while staying overnight in Barstow on vacation. It was such an awesome surprise one was still around. We had a great time. We visited the snack bar and loaded up on popcorn, mini pizzas, and a hotdog. We were pleased as pie to relax in the car, and enjoy our junk food dinner. It was... More

i beleived this place is very comfortable for the area. is relaxing and you are away from a major city. Barstow is not a great city, but i like the skyline driving. the next city is victorville and that city is a pleaseant place that has everything you need.

Took my grandkids ages 9 and 4 here Saturday night. They had no idea what a drive in is. The movie was first run, digital projection, sound was through the car radio. Snack bar is clean, neat to remember the older theaters that don't exist anymore. Adults are $8, children over 5 are $5. A little on the high side.... More

While staying one night in Barstow on our way to the Grand Canyon we spotted this wonderful drive-in theater. Wow, an actual drive-in theater; we couldn't believe it! It brought back so many fond memories of our youth. I didn't realize there were any of these nostalgic places left. We can't wait to catch a movie the next time we... More

Stayed over in barstow en route to the Grand Canyon from LA. Noticed this while we were looking for a motel. Being English, drive ins are something you only see in the movies. What a great experience. We saw 2 films much cheaper than seeing one in England and sat in the car munching pizza and nachos. Loved it!!!!
