Took my grandkids ages 9 and 4 here Saturday night. They had no idea what a drive in is. The movie was first run, digital projection, sound was through the car radio. Snack bar is clean, neat to remember the older theaters that don't exist anymore. Adults are $8, children over 5 are $5. A little on the high side.... More

While staying one night in Barstow on our way to the Grand Canyon we spotted this wonderful drive-in theater. Wow, an actual drive-in theater; we couldn't believe it! It brought back so many fond memories of our youth. I didn't realize there were any of these nostalgic places left. We can't wait to catch a movie the next time we... More

Stayed over in barstow en route to the Grand Canyon from LA. Noticed this while we were looking for a motel. Being English, drive ins are something you only see in the movies. What a great experience. We saw 2 films much cheaper than seeing one in England and sat in the car munching pizza and nachos. Loved it!!!!

Always a good nostalgic time at the Original Barstow Drive In. Great getaway and fun for the family or date night. Don't forget to bring your lawn chairs if you wanna sit under the stars while enjoying new release movies....enjoy :-)

This is a fabulous experience! The one problem is that they don't make car batteries like they used to and because the sound comes through your radio, it draws on the battery. We had to start the car every 30 min and run it for 10. During the second feature, the car wouldn't allow us to do this anymore with... More

The sound was terrible, and the movie had to be stopped and started a couple times. The picture quality was not good at all, poor choice of snacks too!

We travelled Route 66 in 2009 and again this year. Last time, we did not have time to attend a drive-in movie, so this was on our must do list. Great experience, nothing compares to watching a movie from your car in good old USA!

Who wouldn't love the drive in? I've never had a bad experience here. Prices for food and drinks are similar to other movie theaters, the price to get in per person is cheaper than anywhere plus you get two movies.
