Was looking forward to coming here as part of a 2,500 mile road trip. Unfortunately the 2, 7pm showings were of R rated movies and the 2 at 10 family fair. It would appear the drive in have little option in the matter but though this be no issue if you are a local for other visitors wanting to experience... More

Tonight I visited an open air,drive-in movie theater for the first time in my life. It was fun to watch a new movie under the sky with the movie playing on a big screen and the FM radio having the sound. The movie was so-so but the experience was fun. This place only accepts cash but the fees and the... More

If you have a spare warm night in Barstow I would definitely recommend seeing a movie at the Skyline Drive-Ins. The location is amazing - you watch the sun set over the desert as your movie starts and the stars look amazing. This is a perfect activity for a family or a date. The snack bar is super cute, the... At sunset the dessert heat gave way to a refreshing breeze and the boys talked our ears off about all the stars twinkling above. I was already riding a wave of nostalgia when, five minutes before the movie started they showed an animated short that looked like it was taken straight out of the 50's. The shows were good; two... Haven't experienced the opportunity to watch a film there, but I've visited the place three years running (in January), and have felt the ghosts of yesteryear nibbling at my heels as I romp around THE SKYLINE's wide open space(s).

Not many drive-in movie theaters left. This one in Barstow has been around, for the most part, since the 60's. Many good memories of great family fun!!

Went to see San Andreas and Project Almanac at the Skyline Drive-in recently with my husband. We absolutely LOVE the drive-in and is the only place we go to a movie anymore. It's such a great evening sitting outside under the stars. This is a MUST if you're driving through Barstow.

If you continue up the road a block or so on your right u will see a chain link fence and some strange looking cars. Do you recognize them? They are what is left from the original Mad Max movies made back in 1979 and in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome in 1985. They are a little weather beaten but you... More
