This may be the most undderated opportunity at Mesa Verde. The park doesn't advertise itself as a hiking park, but Point Lookout is not to be missed. It's a bit challenging but the climb and views are not to be missed.

easy two mile hike with three outlook points to see some great views worth the hike and it wasnt crowded.

My wife and I hiked this at sunrise. The kids stayed back in the RV and slept. It is somewhat steep on the way to lookout point with a lot of switchbacks. The trail is @ 1.5 miles each way and it is located right at the campground. It was nice for my wife and I to get a hike... More

We took 2 adults and 4 kids (ages 6-14) on this hike. The first 1/2 mile is going up at a moderate incline using switchbacks to work your way up the hill. After you get to the top of the plateau you can walk for another 1/2 mile with great views on either side. At the end there is a... More
