Pleasant village

Tazones is a small pleasant village with plenty of restaurant options. The restaurant el pescador is worth visiting as the fish is fresh and good. A bit expensive.

Tazones is a small pleasant village with plenty of restaurant options. The restaurant el pescador is worth visiting as the fish is fresh and good. A bit expensive.

If it wasn't for the language I could almost believe this was in Devon or Cornwall! It was so quaint and picturesque and being out of season not very busy! A hidden gem.

I was in Tazones in 1990 and even then it was a sweet little fishing port, not geared to tourists in any way. Now, 23 years later the facades have been whitewashed and the balconies painted in bright reds, blues and greens. The main street is lined with restaurants and bars mostly serving fish meals. The delightful picturesque spot & excellent fish. To reach Tazones you have a lovely drive along the estuary to the sea.

We arrived at our apartment just outside Villiaviciosa (La Espadana - exceptional property with its own website or use Colours Of Spain) and went to Tazones 8km away in search of a supermarket.
