Catholic Shrine of the Immaculate Conception is the paragon of simple beauty. The church may lack the grandeur and the scale of a Catholic cathedral, but the Shrine nonetheless does not shy in serenity and majesty. Whether you are a Catholic or not, this historical church should be on your list of attractions to visit especially if you are in... More

I attended a special Mass observing the Martin Luther King commemoration and I enjoyed my visit. Msgr. Gracz is a superb individual. I had visited on another occasion at which he was the Mass celebrant and he was definitely insightful and presided at a very simple and beautiful Mass that was spiritually moving! Truly a great place especially for visitors... More

This is a nice looking church but I couldn't figure out how to get inside, so it's not a very long tourist attraction.

The Shrine is in the middle of downtown surrounded by a number of government buildings. It was one of the only churches not burned during the Civil War and the burning of Atlanta. Because of its location, it is an extremely diverse congregation. My income is higher than the average parishioner but I enjoy it as it is "real" and... More

A perfect place to spend a little time reflecting on your spiritual needs after a busy work week. The Church has Masses on Sunday and listening to the Choir is quite moving. This Church welcomes all Christians as I met some that were from other denominations and they all felt comfortable in this Church.

Attended Mass here. The historical aura of the building is worthy of a visit by all regardless of religious persuasion. Oldest compete standing build in Atlanta. Beautiful ceiling, pieta. Close to state capitol building and Underground Atlanta.

This churches serves the homeless and it also welcomes "all" people, especially those of same sex couples. I attended many Catholic Churches in the Atlanta area before I felt "at home" at this church. There is no judgment expressed by the priest, especially when he does his "preaching" of the gospel. I love the Monsignor and his open heart full... More
