Old, former movie theatre converted to a concert venue. Shabby and comfortable, like an old pair of slippers, and just a lot of fun to go to. No assigned seating, but they do permit you to line up outside the doors before shows start. We've lined up as early as morning time, in order to get front row seats. Beware,... More

Love love love this place! You can sit in the last row and still feel super close the stage and see the band.

It's old and funky and I've seen quite a few concerts there and all have been enjoyable experiences.

I saw Spiritualized at the Variety, and it was a wonderful show. The staff members were courteous and efficient, and the security at the show did their jobs and kept the aisles clear without being rude to the audience members. The atmosphere is great, and I love that this is a non-smoking establishment. I would definitely go back to the... More

Small crowd makes it feel intimate. No smoke. Very cool looking and large ceiling fans keep air circulating without making a gale. You can stand or sit - nice. Has a nice vibe. Very friendly staff and best of all a great variety of entertainment. Will certainly keep going there.

This is one of my favorite ATL venues for music. It's a little dive-y, but that's what gives it character. You're able to get up close to the music, or sit back and enjoy the show. Parking is always a little sketchy, but worth the effort.

Love the intimate venue. This is the second time I've been there and will definitely go back again. Love that there are seats available for sitting but also a standing "pit" area. Proximity to the stage is fantastic, and a balcony is also available. They also serve Red Strip Beer, which sold me right away.

Its one of my favorite places in town to see a good show have seen some great ones here over the years. The parking can be tricky so get here early before the parking goes and eat at one of the good and sometimes funky restaurants at little 5 points.
