This was a great venue, we saw Paolo Nutini in concert here. We were able to sit halfway back and get a great view of the stage even when people were standing in the area in front of the stage. Of course, when the main artist came on, everyone stood so it was impossible to see, but still great to... More

This was a great venue/auditorium/theater, whatever you like to call it. The sound was fantastic, best BOC show I've ever heard (they are my favorite band). The staff was most helpful, and none of their beer costs over 5 bucks. Not being gouged for a drink was a welcome surprise.

My husband and I recently saw a comedy show here. The show was great, if you have seats there is really not a bad one in the house except for maybe the "lawn chair" seats at the sides. They looked uncomfortable to me. We did not drive and took a cab from our downtown hotel, which is what I would... More

I've been going to concerts in Atlanta for the past 25 years but I never had the occasion to go to the Variety Playhouse before. When Blue Oyster Cult came to Atlanta for the first time that I can remember, I jumped on it. The venue was small, but it was easy to get a space on the floor in... More

This fantastic venue is located in an artsy part of town and is known for concerts of all genres being performed there. The best thing about this venue is that there isn't a bad seat in the facility. If you're lucky enough to see the right artist there, you can even dance on the floor directly in front of the... More

The venue has theater-style seating in the center of the lower floor and entire balcony, with tiered standing areas on the sides of the lower level. There is not a bad place to sit/stand for viewing the stage and the sound quality was quite good. If there is a musical or other performing act that you like appearing there, I... More

This was the third time I've attended a concert at the Variety. And the first one that didn't have standing room between the seats and stage. I liked it much better. I don't mind people wanting to jump and shout and dance at a concert but it would make more sense to me to have that area stage right or... More

This place is mostly standing room only unless the show calls for seating. Then they put out plastic patio chairs. It's always general admission so you need to get their early. It's in an interesting funky artsy (not in a classy way) part of town. The venue was great and had a bar. I suggest you arrive very early for... More

I have been to this venue for multiple concerts! There are plenty of options depending on your concert viewing preferences. They offer plenty of seating for those who like to sit back, relax, and hear the music. They also have plenty of standing room down front for those of us to like to jump around and dance. I love the... More

This is a great venue to see graet shows and performers up close. Notes to remenmber usually general admission so if you want a seat get there early. Usually standing infornt of the stage so if you want a seat get one near the back to keep your view or upstairs. And Cash only at the bar so Bring the... More
