You will be overwhelmed by the great number of photos and items in the museum. The Museum is entered through the Bookstore and the Theater adjoining the Bookstore. We were their in time for a short film that is an introduction to Carter's life. The first exhibition is to Carter's early life in Plains and his interest in the Navy.... More

The Jimmy Carter Library is simply beautiful. The architecture os the building is modern, warm, and welcoming at the same time. Like the man for whom the library is gardens are charming. One thing you must experience is the view over Atlanta. It is stunning. Then there are the collections and the exhibits. This is one of the must do... More

The Carter Center is an oasis in the midst of Atlanta craziness. The displays are informative and interesting, whether or not you are a supporter of Jimmy Carter. It focuses on what he's done since his presidency which is far more reaching and humanitarian than almost any other former President.

It's a presidential library of Georgia's loved President Jimmy Carter. What's there to do but look around and be educated. Something to do when the doin's get slow.

The renovation that was made makes this interactive museum something for the entire family. Glad they kept the oval office, but added so much more. Can not wait to return

Living in Atlanta it is quite easy to take for granted the many grand things that are available- why? because you get used to it. However, we recently attended an event at the Carter Center, while it had not been my first time- I realized that I had not taken the time to really look at my surroundings. The center... More

Visited during the week so parking was easy (free). Very few others visiting. President Carter's personal history, his campaigns, and the events/accomplishments of his presidency are featured. This is a two- hour especially if you already know some of the history. Well spent time and good value.

We spent over two hours here but was not enough time to take in all the exhibits in this great museum dedicated to the life and times of Jimmy Carter. Especially liked the replica of the Oval Office and the exhibit on the Mideast Peace Talks between Sadat and Begin. A must do visit when in Atlanta. The grounds around... More

The Carter Center and Presidential Library is atop Copenhill, site of General Sherman's temporary headquarters during the battle of Atlanta. The spacious grounds are beautifully maintained with walkways and benches surrounding the museum and large pond. The Japanese garden is peaceful and as such complements the legacy of the President. The movie and exhibits inside the Carter Center range from... More
