Beautiful facility. It is an excellent presentation of the history of Jimmy Carter's rise to the presidency and the world affairs of the time period.

Visited with five out-of-town friends and was amazed at how much the library has grown and changed since the first time I visited shortly after it opened. While we spent about two hours viewing the highlights, an entire day could be spent absorbing the important history available here. The Camp David Accord is particularly fascinating, as are the myriad contributions... More

People who are into American history should make it a point to visit this presidential library and museum. It gives us a brief glimpse into the life of the president and his administration. Jimmy and his wife are rarely at the Carter Center. The best way to see them is to get his Plains Georgia schedule from the Carter Center,... More

In order to get the most from the visit you need to spend the time to read and listen to all of the exhibits. This is on lovely grounds. They alone are worth the visit.

Definitely stop just to see the gardens. Lots of great information on the Carter's, and you may even get to see them.

Visited the Carter Library Sat Sept 26, 2015. Had a little trouble finding Freedom Parkway but it was well worth the trip. If you visit make sure to view the 15 min movie. Great chronological display of Pres. Carter's entire life, from birth, thru the presidency to the work he and his wife are doing today.

The japanese gardens are my favorite! The library is beautiful and in a great location. Most will never see the Oval office at the White House, but with a visit to the Carter Center, you will see a replica of it and it's pretty cool! I have even seen Mrs. Carter walking around on my visits here. So keep your... More

This was our second Presidential Museum. We thoroughly enjoyed walking through the life of Jimmy Carter...from child to the humanitarian he is now. We visited on a weekday when we thought it would be quiet. There were several school field trips on the same day. I would recommend calling first and asking if any school trips are scheduled for the... More

One of the best presidential library out there. Beautiful grounds and great picking trails. You should plan on spending around 2 hours to see.
