Description: Georgia Aquarium is the world's most magical aquarium. Situated near...
Georgia Aquarium is the world's most magical aquarium. Situated near Centennial Olympic Park and World of Coca-Cola in downtown Atlanta,Georgia, Georgia Aquarium offers its guests an experience like no other. Across six separate galleries, with more than 70 amazing habitats, 10 million gallons of water and thousands of species of marine animals, guests will marvel at, learn about and come to better understand such majestic aquatic animals as whale sharks, manta rays, dolphins, beluga whales, sea otters, African penguins and thousands of species of exotic fish and other animals. The spectacular AT&T Dolphin Tales show combines incredible natural animal behaviors with dynamic theatrics, a Broadway-inspired musical score and a compelling story, which together underscore the connection between humans and the animal world. The animated "Deepo's Undersea 3D Wondershow," for all ages, tells an entertaining but important story about conserving and protecting animals and their natural environment. Cafe Aquaria offers delicious sandwiches, salads, pizza, pasta and delectable desserts. Two gift shops give visitors the chance to take home a treasured collectible. Special animal encounter programs offer the chance to go behind the scenes and come face-to-face with dolphins, sea otters and penguins. Guests can even swim or dive with whale sharks and manta rays in the world's largest aquarium habitat (at 6.3 Million gallons), Ocean Voyager built by the Home Depot. And an onsite parking deck immediately adjacent to the aquarium means quick, easy-to-find and affordable parking.

We visited the aquarium as an unplanned event. We had wanted to walk around Olympic Park but there was a music fest going on. That would have been $45 a person and much of the park was covered with tents and displays. So the aquarium was a nice 2nd choice. But it was crowded on a Saturday, and it was... More

I took my wife and two younger kids to this awesome aquarium for Educator Appreciation day. It was awesome watching my children see the different fish as well as the incredible Dolphins show so go there and bring a lot of money to spend at the high prices food court too.

My wife and I spent a few hours at the Georgia Aquarium. Absolutely awesome to see all the aquatic life from around the world. We were there on a Friday afternoon at 3 pm and the Aquarium was packed with middle school kids so a bit rushed going through all the venues. Well worth the visit! We saw the dolphins... More

Although the Tuesday that we went had a lot of school groups there, we weren't really negatively impacted by having a ton of kids there. There are fewer overall exhibits than I expected but they offer a great selection of creatures I've never seen in person. Whale sharks, giant, summersaulting manta rays, beluga whales, all amazing to see. A must,... More

We had an annual pass and have enjoyed just dropping in for an hour or two, to a whole day. Also enjoyed the thrill of swimming with the whale sharks, amazing and the staff could not have been more helpful to myself and family while visiting:O)

The web site for the aquarium will tell you that you can get through it in 2 hours. That's definitely not true. There's just too much to see. We went at noon and were there until close. Definitely go to the dolphin show. It's incredible. Take the splash zone seriously though. The dolphins will get you if you're anywhere in... More

The Georgia Aquarium was an impressive display that is easily accessible in downtown Atlanta. I was there on a Sunday shortly after it opened so the crowds weren't too big yet.

I went to the aquarium using the Atlanta City Pass, the place was crowded since it was spring break time. You'll have the opportunity to see many different species of fishes. Also you'll discover many habitats. There's a big aquarium where you can walk under it and it's full of species; you'll find the seals, belugas, penguins! The aquarium also... More

Don't be put off by the high enterance price, it is worth the money. The place is big, so you'll spend long enough inside & they have done each area individually so you have a different experience going through each section. The Dolphin show was the first thing we were in to. It is not to be missed. Some of... More

I've seen the New England and Florida aquarium's, plus two SeaWorld parks. This place sets the bar so much higher. Go see the Whale Shark!
