Amazing views of workers bundling millions of dollars, and robot carts moving it to the safe. Must go through security like the airport. I had to leave a paring knive from my picnic outside in the bushes

OK so the free money is shredded - shame!
The museum is free and includes interactive computer presentations of the role of the Fed and monetary policy, displays of money through the ages including counterfeit notes and a film. A viewing area lets you watch the fully automated vehicles drive past you (behind glass) carrying large creates of money.
I'd...

It has some interesting information on the history of banking and some very interesting displays. The movie was a little dry and some of the interactive stuff was not my cup of tea. Overall it was worth stopping and seeing. Make sure you pick up some of the free shredded money they have and post cards. Be prepared to go...

We stayed at the Loews Atlanta hotel, which was across the street from the Federal Reserve Bank. We found it to be very interesting. They have a nice interactive museum and then an area where you can overlook the cash processing center. It took about an hour to go through it, which was well worth the time.
I highly recommend visiting the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. This is a free self guided tour that you do not need a reservation for. You go through security, show your id to get a visitor badge and put any purses and cameras in a locker. If you’re lucky enough, there are guided tour groups which you can listen in...

This was very intresting and fun to tour through. It is a self guided tour which gives you the opportunity to see part of the working part of the Federal Reserve Bank. There is also many interactive parts to the tour. Stop and play the economic game against your friends and family, that is a lot of fun. There is...

I really wish more museums would be this good. We (my wife, me and kids 14&11) visited for just over an hour after a picnic in Piedmont Park and wished we had slightly more time to see everything. Fascinating exhibits on the role of the Fed, the history of money, a good virtual economics game, lifting a gold bar (worth...

Good place to include if visiting Atlanta down town. Self guided tour can take about 1-2 hours. My 10year old thought it was cool. We liked it too.
This is worth a stop if you're in the area - it's free and quite interesting, actually. My 6 & 8 year old had fun reading about money, seeing currency through the years, and playing some of the interactive exhibits. You do have to clear security first, have your bags checked, and then store everything in a free locker before...

It took about an hour to go through this. It is a working federal reserve so be prepared to show ID & address. You cannot take any bags in, but they do give you a locked to put it in. They do have security you need to pass through also.
Displays of how money started through to the future. You...
