I followed the Frommers walking tour starting from Piedmont towards the east. I am a foreigner and I felt so scare, I return half way. Close shops, homeless people talking to me during the walk, smell like a bathroom under the bridge, empty streets... not a safe walking tour! The Curb Market was nice.. Another example of abandoned downtown areas... more
