This is what Shakespeare is about. Good food, great selection of drink and a well acted and interactive play. A great time had by all of us as well as the rest of the audiance.

Performances are excellent. Food is VERY expensive. You don't reserve a certain seat so you have to arrive VERY early to get a good seat. Season ticket holders get to go in first then the others have to fight to get a good seat. you could end up sitting at a table with strangers. Youjust need to be aware that... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review! We want to clarify that seating in each section is first-come, first-served. People do show up early to stand in line to choose their seats, however we do not seat subscribers before anyone else in line (though this was our practice for a very short period of time about 7... My family and I saw "A Christmas Carol" here two years ago and had a great time! The food is alright, but if you enjoy plays, it is an excellent experience.

The STP is a great place to go for entertainment. Between the show itself and the great actors, to the audience members with cell phones/watches beeping - the actors have to acknowledge the 'noise'. It's a great time for adults. Food is a little pricey, but I can't complain on the quality. It's better than you would think it could... More

It took me awhile to discover this place, but now I look forward to every new performance. My first experience there was "Much Ado About Nothing", and my second was "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare." This is Shakespeare as I believe it was meant to be performed. Nothing stuffy about it, and the actors and audience both obviously enjoy... More

Just ok. I'm not Shakespeare fan, and I thought the show was pretty ragged. Cast was ok, but sometimes hard to understand.

We go here everytime we are in Atlanta - the show is always fantastic! The perfomance is done somewhat tongue in cheek, and the performers interact with/react to the audience. The food is always good, and the volunteers are wonderful. It is very casual, and every seat in the house is a great seat! The only thing to keep in... More

I have lived in Atlanta for 20 years and have always heard great things about Shakespeare Tavern but never went. Tonight I saw "Much Ado About Nothing" which was extremely well acted. I also enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I will definitely go back again, and soon!

Went with the high school for a field trip to see Romeo and Juliet. We enjoyed it so much we will be returning for Julius Ceasar and Hamlet. Must see. Great atmosphere, and very talented group of actors.

Imagine Shakespeare, Comedy, & Dinner all in one spot! This is what the tavern is all about. Its set up like an old fashioned theatre and many times the actors venture in between the tables so you get up close and personal with the action. The food is ok, but you dont go to the tavern expecting amazing food, you... More
