This is one of those things that I'm glad I did it, but wouldn't do it again. I give it a good rating because the actor's are great, and if you love Shakespeare I know you would love this. If you sit in the balcony, just know that the chairs are not comfortable and there really isn't anywhere to set... More

Macbeth. The Play house does an excellent job of attracting talented people. Production always goes off as planned. I have never been disappoitned. I stopped eating there some time ago. The food os OK but one can get a good meal in Atl. I expecially liked this production of Macbeth. It was the best Ive seen here.

I've been here about a dozen times, all good experiences. The actors are the best, the venue is intimate (you're almost on stage), and the food is pretty decent. Plus, they have a great beer selection.

i am a big reader but not necessarily versed (at all) on shakespeare. i am a bit intimidated with it to be honest. given the option for something different to be done while in atlanta for the weekend, we found the shakespeare tavern. the price for a couple of hours of theater is very fair and if i did it... great atmosphere.....fun... relaxed.... You feel like you walk out more educated then when you walked in that is for sure! (In a literary sort of way) I went quite a while ago and hope to go back again some day.

We went to the Shakespeare Tavern and saw The complete works of Shakespeare, abridged. It was amazing. I have the DVD of the original and this was better. They modernized some parts of it to make some of the references relevant to the audience. The actors were wonderful and although this was a comedy there were some serious moments and... More

My husband and I love frequenting this place on a date night - great food and the actors are very good! They really know how to engage the whole crowd. Every seat is a good seat!

The Shakespeare Tavern is THE place in the southeast if you want to see some good ole Shalespeare. Period. The food is fantastic, the acting is BEYOND AMAZING, and its really an all around a good time. I went to go see Romeo and Juliet with my family, and it was awesome! for all you folks out there who read... More
