You gotta see the ducks!!!

Lovely small park with a small (kind of dirty) pond with strange-looking ducks and great blue herons.

I visited this park often in the early 2000s. Additional development has improved the park grounds, facilities, and made it more family friendly. Altanta's "Central Park!"

We ate lunch at Willy's on the park and played in the nearby playground. It was a treat. The design of the playground on the hill was so cool.

It's a HUGE park and very well kept place! It looked like the grass was fake, so perfect! You can jog, play ball, walk or have a nice rest anywhere the park!

When the sun is out piedmont park fills up with lots of diverse people. Many dogs, but generally well-behaved. There is a pond with ducks and geese and a path that you can walk around it on.

Piedmont Park is our Central Park, and while not quite as big, it was designed with Olmstead influences and it is quite beautiful. You can walk, including your dog, play, swim, roller skate, bike or just sit and contemplate the view of midtown Atlanta. Its a great place for a jog or a picnic. Enjoy!

What a nice way to spend an afternoon. The place was crowded, but that was fine. It was clean and beautiful. I wish I could have spent more time there.

Centennial Olympic Park gets a lot of the praise from tourist, I believe due to its more central location near downtown and other main attractions. However Piedmont seems to be more of the locals park. Piedmont definitely has a less touristy vibe than Centennial (which I also enjoy don't get me wrong). You can get some pretty nice pictures of...
