We went for a run through Piedmont Park, which was really beautiful. Wide paths and a slightly hilly terrain too which is perfect.

I met a running group here early on the Saturday and we did 5miles around the park. It was a clear cold November morning, so everyone was wearing cold weather gear. A tour around the perimeter revealed a nice mix of open fields, parks to picnic in, dog exercising and socialising enclosures, lakeside and restaurants and cafes. A perfect place... More

I grew up near 14th Street in Atlanta and every pretty weekend we went to Piedmont Park. It was our playground in the big city. I learned to swim in the big swimming pool.

Piedmont Park is a bit like Central Park (Manhattan) in that it's a drop-dead gorgeous bit of nature, dropped into an urban setting. It takes only a few steps into the park to feel transported to another world: one that is quiet, beautiful, airy, and natural. I first visited this park almost 25 years ago when I scouted Atlanta before... More

In a city largely devoid of natural attractions, Piedmont Park stands out as Atlanta's foremost such asset. It is spacious, well landscaped, well maintained and accessible to a great variety of people for a great variety of activities. I've been using it for 13 years and never tire of it.

I came to Atlanta from Chicago for College in the late 1970's and Piedmont Park holds many fond memories from studying/reading under a big tree, sunbathing, roller skating, concerts, arts festivals, hot air balloon festivals, seasonal festivals, romantic picnics, teaching my son to ride a bike, watching him play to new memories with my husband and grandchildren. Piedmont Park is... More

This is a very pretty park that's easy to walk/jog/bike ride in. Its nice that there are separate paths for people who want to walk vs. run. Parking is convenient and easy and the park has a lot of nice overlooks and scenic areas. There botanical gardens and swimming pool are also located in the park.

Piedmont Park has so much to offer! We visited on a Sunday and there were families of all sizes there. Lots of space with wonderful uniquely shaped trees to wander through. There were some organized games being played as well. We walked around a few lakes and checked out the playgrounds for later visits with the kids. I imagine the... More

Piedmont Park isn't anything special. I do not recommend going out of your way to visit this park, but if you're in the area, it might be worth visiting.
