Very quiet and pleasant area. The lightning at Christmas is stunning and is worth the cost of the entrance, especially at night, but plan warm clothes and plaids.

Piedmont Park is full of events and activities. Dog parks and running trails. Large open green spaces and summer plays. Check the schedule there is usually something going on in Spring and Summer.

Stayed in Midtown Atlanta and was thrilled to discover Piedmont Park just a couple of blocks from the hotel. I enjoyed my morning runs in the beautiful setting with great views of the city. Lots of paths and even a 1/3 mile soft track for intervals. Plenty of open space for picnics and play. Even a pool that I'm guessing... More

The signs were not good on how to get into the park. I did not like that you had to pay to park to go into a public park. Then when you got into the park you had to pay to swim.

Huge park that's great for a jog, walk or bike ride. The park has excellent Beltline access for an extended run, walk or bike ride. This is an excellent inner city park where you can let kids do what kids should do. Open area, fresh air and burn energy. Great Atlanta Park. On 4th of July the Peachtree Road Race... More

Piedmont park is great! In the fall, summer, winter or spring. I suggest not in the rain though. The best is to go for a picnic. There is a lot of area to relax and crack open a beverage and you get a great view of Atlanta. Also, there is a lot of running paths too. I highly suggest taking... More

My fiancé and I arrived in Atlanta after checking into our hotel at 3:00pm. We wanted to walk outdoors after a few hours of driving so we headed for the park. Lots of recreation and fun to be had at the park. Volleyball, basketball, soccer, tennis, swimming, strolling, jogging and more. We chose to feed the ducks, walk around, and... More

Lake, swimming pool, soccer and baseball fields, running and cycling tracks, and plenty of green space just to play and run. A great kiosk that makes divine fresh smoothies and a playground for little ones. Excellent parking shared with the botanical gardens! We tried to go almost every morning!
