On a recent drive from California to Georgia I found myself at the Carter Museum and Library. Being a fan of specialty museums (and presidential museums are definitely a niche type) I was very pleased with this stop. To review the timeline of the Carter administration and recall the integrity of this son of a peanut farmer from Georgia was... More

This is one of my favorite places to visit in Atlanta. It is such a beautifully designed museum and contains so much information that's really interesting (even if you don't like Jimmy). The grounds are beautiful. It's nice to just sit outside on one of the benches and enjoy the weather.

Even if you are not a fan of Jimmy Carter's presidency, I believe there is enjoyment to be had here. The museum is nice and there is a lot to see. It was cool to see all of the historical information, personal artifacts, documents, and the replica of the oval office. I am into history and especially presidential history, so... More

Jimmy Carter's Presidential Library and Museum, like all presidential sites, is a thrill and privilege to visit. See all the documents, rare photos, personal family objects, the OVAL OFFICE! If you are in Atlanta or nearby, you won't want to miss the opportunity to view, study and appreciate the power and magnificence of our past Chief Exective.

In Atlanta for the day and took a trip to the Museum. Found it to be very interesting. A good place to just sit and think.

Went to the Presidential Library, no time to go to the Center. Location is on a bus line, pamphlet has good directions. SO MUCH to READ! I lived through this part of history...did I miss it? or too busy to notice it! As I went through the museum, I kept asking myself, did that really happen then? Great timeline &... More

I always find these president museums fascinating. This goes through the story of his life including after his presidency since he is still active.

enjoyed the museum, especially the White House china exhibit. had a difficult time driving to the museum. GPS does not show the street it is located on to be one-way, so we had to find out way around the park to the correct entrance. almost left without going to the museum. but, glad we did. well worth the trip.

We've been to the Reagan, Nixon, Kennedy, Johnson, and Sr. Bush Museums previously and, although we enjoyed the Carter Museum immensely, I would rate it as my least favorite of the ones we have been to. I think part of it may relate to the fact that less of historical interest (at least for me) happened during his presidency than... More
