The kids (age 13, 9 and 6) enjoyed seeing the processes of "how tv is made" (the green screen, the weather, etc). They are not really old enough to be interested in the news and we were not there for any live broadcast, so their interest level stopped there. More appealing for the adult crowd.

1ste choice was to visit the Coca Cola centre, but they had an event and were closed. So second best was CNN. It was nice to get a tour. You get to see how a news studio works (the green wall, a teleprompter), but not so much detail on how CNN in specific works with all the correspondents.

This place is amazing... a tour of CNN studios is the best! I loved the Cartoon Network Store... The whole building is out-of-this-world :)

If you ever wondered how CNN gathers, produces, and broadcasts news, the CNN Studio Tour will give you plenty of insights into how stories are put together before hitting the public audience. Tours run every hour and take about 50 minutes. There are numerous flights of stairs to go down so be aware if you have issues taking stairs. You... More

We really enjoyed this tour. We got to get a photo taken of us pretending to be anchors and I got to read the news behind a mock up anchor desk using a real prompter. That script goes by your eyes really fast! We got to listen in and watch a live broadcast with the director's audio on and the... More

The CNN tour gives you an idea of what goes on behind the camera and the anchors. You get to see the areas where the stories are developed and a simulated control room that was good. They play with the green screen a moment and show how it is used like for weather reports. I would not recommend small children... More

So first off the tour is under 50 minutes but only costs $15. It's feels a bit like a production line as group after group are shuffled through. You get to peer into a couple of mainly empty studios and offices, nothing was airing live during our tour so maybe worth asking about timings before committing to a tour time.... More

We found the tour very interesting, and was the perfect length of time (approx 1hr), gave you enough information without overloading or being boring or too technical. The whole centre was interesting too, plenty of places to eat and drink and a few shops too. Good value for money too. Would recommend to do.

Whenever I visit Atlanta, I always enjoy visiting the CNN Center. The flags are very colorful and I always have trouble choosing which food place to visit. This trip I tried something different and ate at one of the restaurants that is inside the Phillips Arena. The wings were delicious!!! On the way out, I had to get my fudge!
