Four colleagues and I went downtown to GSU on business, got a little lost, and ended up in a gated garage of Underground Atlanta. As we parked in a space we finally found on one of the upper levels the garage, we thought it unusual to be asked for the $7 by what seemed to be an attendant, who had... more

I lived in Atlanta when Underground was opened and for a few years afterward and visited Underground Atlanta frequently with my husband to be. At that time, Underground had unique shops, cool restaurants and just a great vibe. People took their kids there, folks on dates took it in and tourists loved it. Based on my admittedly long ago experiences,... more

My goodness this place is Ghetto!!!!!!!!!, do not go here unless you want to see dirty people, restaurants and over priced crap. I had always heard that it was a fun place but I think my mind is going, cause there is nothing good about here. I'm originally from NYC and this is similar to the colloseum in Queens which... more

As an Atlanta resident who has been to a lot of the different cities in the USA, I can say that the homeless people in this city are the worst and a shame (with maybe an exception of Memphis). Underground Atlanta is probably the worst place to go if you don't want to deal with homeless people, con artists, theives... more

My partner and I ventured down to Underground Atlanta. The main MARTA transfer point is right across the street so we decided to check it out since we were already there. We didn't get to see much of Underground Atlanta. There was a line of "dirty" people outside of the attraction. I thought we might have walked into the bread... more

I've lived in a developing country over a 4 year time span and I am accustomed to beggars approaching me, but I have never been bombarded by beggar after beggar like I was at Underground Atlanta. The Atlanta tourism board should not even include this place on their map. It is disgusting, dirty and an eyesore. Even third world cities... more

I was in town for a few days and apparently read an outdated guidebook for Atlanta, because it had said that it was a great place for families and lots of great shopping. All I found was loud hip-hop music and Ed Hardy t-shirts in every window, when there weren't SHOE stores. The food court is appalling, half the vendors... more

I walked from the Downtown Marriott on Spring to the Underground Atlanta in order to hop on my Atlanta Trolley tour which departs at the Atlanta Visitor's center at the Underground Atlanta complex. This venue looks a bit sad and on the decline as other reviewers have written. There are other souvenirs shops located in the CNN center and downtown.... more

When you go to the web pages for this "attraction" you get the impression this is the "place to be" for Atlanta night life. Advertising good food, shops, live music on the streets, but we found this to be false. This is NOT a place to go at night. We went at dusk and once we found a place to... more
