this was a very interesting place... its a mall but make sure you dont go late in evening and park in a good area... and make sure you dont accept any parking tickets from someone who has time left and they are just being kind and letting you use up there leftover time... we ended up getting a boot because... What was once a neat, historic shopping and dining district is now a run-down, scary, trashy, thug/gang hangout. Most of the stores are vacant or closed, the fountain on the stairs leading into the Underground is now a stagnant pool of trash, and many beggars are hanging around. I had been here before, years ago, and remembered all the people... More

Was expecting a bit more! The underground which is mostly not underground consists of many shop fronts but many are vacant. Many good restaurants though. Are at Burger Fi in the CNN building. Amazing meal.

Had to see it...very unique. The mall was very much run down very few stores...If you need a new grill :) it is the place to go. Food court nearly abandoned 3 out of ~12 shops were open. Felt a bit uneasy walking around...there is a portal to the public transport at one end of the mall.

I've heard plenty of my friends say things about underground. I thought it would be great until I arrived in Atlanta. Don't get me wrong, the place is ok. It has a few shops and a few eateries but nothing like where I come from. Unless I went to the wrong place.

It seems like a very shady crowd and area. We went on MARTA to five points station. They were all prepared with security for night of fun. They had beer wine and cocktails to buy and fun party hats and 2016 related memorabilia. They had music going and crowd was packing in. Bands Come in at 9 pm. The peach... More

If you are traveling alone or if you have young children with you, this is not a place you want to go near. The darker it gets, the worse the crowd gets. I stayed at the Fairfield Inn that is right next to this property. The five point train station is right there. As soon as I got out of... More

It is unbelievable that Atlanta still lists this DUMP as a tourist attraction. This area should be "off limits" to tourists. Underground consists of Atlanta thugs, homeless, druggies, drunks, gangsters, and general criminal activity. Anyone you ask in Atlanta (police included) will advise you to STAY AWAY from this ghetto.

Location: Right in the centre of the city! Meant for shopping, but isn't great to hang out. Would recommend to avoid and try out the other relatively newer places meant for shopping and are safer.

Most shops are kiosks for ethnic jewelry or accessories. Items are cheap looking. Few shops are actually open. This place should close all together. Spent half an hour and left.
