The museum is nice and worth a visit but what I really want to compliment are the walking tours and other tours the museum is offering this summer. I have done the city walking tour which details what happened in and around Manassas during the Civil War. It takes about 45 minutes and as a local resident I learned things... More

Cute place, not much to see. Seemed like an odd movement through history the way things were set up.

I visited here with a group of senior citizens. Ahead of time I arranged for a guided tour and explained that when travelling with seniors we tend to run late. The guy over the phone was understanding and said it wouldn't be a problem. When we arrived, we were treated poorly and fussed at for our tardiness. I paid for... More

I attended a lecture at the museum on Mosby's Combat Operations in Fairfax County,Virginia. It was an appropriate setting for a Civil War subject. The staff was very helpful in the selection of gifts for friends

We were impressed with the quality and presentation of the Manassas Museum’s exhibits, which include interesting artifacts. It’s a small museum, with the permanent exhibit in one rather large room and a special (temporary) exhibit lining a rather long hallway. Most of the permanent exhibit deals with years around the Civil War, but not just about the war in Northern... More

Local museum that fovers the locality from pioneer times, through post civil war times. Lots of information on slavery and slave ownong families. Lots of Civil War artifacts. Guns, tools, clothing, period photographs and do uments. Well planed layout and plenty of signage to tell you what you need to know about what you are seeing.

A really good museum. Good video. Interesting docent. Friendly and knowledgeable. Little difficult to find. No parking for RVs and the streets were not designed for fifth wheelers. Not much about the battles themselves.

The film is fantastic but very hard to watch. The grounds are wonderful and the different points are carefully explained and easy to find.

agree with previous posts that, for small museum, very good. friendly, knowledgeable greeter at door and a volunteer in the museum itself answering questions, etc. but traveling exhibit was certainly lacking in actual objects, almost nothing but reading cards. just a walk across street from a very helpful visitors center too.
