Went for a drive along the Montefalco wine route in June of 2012 and dropped by with my wife and 3 daughters without a reservation. Grandma came out to meet us and invited us into the tasting room. She called her daughter (or daughter in law) who arrived shortly thereafter. Even though we had no reservation they presented us with... More

We were shown round some of the vines and olive tree areas and then we had booked a buffet lunch with wine and olive oil tasting. It was a really good experience which i would recommend.

The Romanelli family make great wines from the region. A superb Sagratino di Monelfalco, Motelfalco Rosso and a tasty white. The farm itself has very well tended vines and almost 3000 olive trees, lots of fruit and you can tell they are well tended to. They offer a lunch and tasting 12 euro which is well worthwhile. You can sit... More

We had a private lunch and wine tasting at Romanelli and had a FANTASTIC time! The winery was recommended to us by our driver and we were not disappointed. This is a family-run organic winery that produces delicious wines and several varieties of olive oil. We we tasted several amazing wines, both red and white (which included Sagrantino, what Montefalco... More

We arranged to visit the vineyard for lunch and a tour. It's easy to find and the location is absolutely stunning. We were given a very warm welcome and an absolutely delicious lunch (specially adapted for me as I'm vegetarian). The wine, honey, and olive oil were all equably fabulous and we simply could not have come away without ordering... More

What a lovely visit this was. We came away with locally produced soap and olive oil but of course some bottles of wine (which was the original intention of the visit)! A really charming lady took us through the wines and provided some nibbles to go with the tasting and a bottle of water to cleanse the palate. This felt... More

My wife and I visited this gem in the spring of 2010, and we still talk about it. We were welcomed with warmth and refinement by the lady owner, who took time to show us around the property and explain how they safeguar the quality of their products. The view from their courtyard is intoxicating; it spans across all the... More

We drove down the olive oil and wine road to Montefalco, and easily found Romanelli. We called ahead and visited based on previous TA reviews. To find Romanelli, go into Montefalco, and then follow the signs. You won't see signs until you are in the city itself (there are lots of vineyard signs). We were greeted upon arrival, and then... If you can only choose one winery to experience in all of Italy, Romanelli should be the one! Established and run as a family operation, this winery specializes in making sweet white and red wines and also some amazing olive oils. We received a personal tour of the property, walking us all around and showing us the bee hives that... More

My wife and I toured Montefalco on our honeymoon and visited several wineries in the area. This was by far our favorite. After stopping in their shop in town, we headed down the road to the vineyard. As we arrived, Devis (one of the son's of this family run business), came out to welcome us. He led us to the... More
