Well worth a visit

The castle is privately owned and is in very good condition. You can only join a guided tour, but it's worth it. The walk up from the village to the castle is very pretty.

Preserved in early Renaissance style, this castle has been in the same family for over 500 years. Today a backwater, the region was of great strategic importance from late Antiquity through the Middle Ages and into the 17th Century, and it was fascinating to be reminded that today's borders are a mere accident.
