This museum is small, but it's the perfect size for my two year old twins. The exhibits are appropriately aged and the staff was always around to clean up (with a cheerful demeanor) whatever my little ones were throwing down! The train was a favorite, I wish they ran it all day! I was so satisfied with my experience that... More

My sister and her boyfriend gave us the tour of Richmond and since we have a 6 & 8yr old, they took us here. My boys had a great time and didn't want to leave. A lot of activities for them. Good time

I visited with my twin 4 year olds on a Tuesday afternoon. The exhibits were designed nicely, and the place was large, but it was all so poorly maintained that it got in the way of the fun. Three exhibits were closed for repair (sun tubes, apple orchard, and dairy cow). The dinosaur dig didnt have enough "soil" to cover... More

I visited this museum with my daughter, her husband, and grandchildren ages 6 years and 16 months. There were many attractions for them and they ran around enjoying everything, and in exactly 2 hours they were done and ready to leave. They have been to many children's museums in VA and said that this one had lots of potential but... More

Smaller than other children's museums we have been to in other cities, but, for it's size, our kids still had a great time and say they would like to go back. Has a kid size 'city' with businesses like a grocery store, bank, tv station and school. Has stuff they can climb and slide on, an art room and water... More

I visited on a Sunday afternoon with my 3 1/2 year old Grandson. When we arrived both my Grandson and I were a little disappointed in the appearance. The first reaction in my head was, "He'll be asking to leave in about 15 minutes." Fortunately after a few minutes, he started getting the hang of it and 3 hours later,... More

We took my 3 year old granddaughter to the museum on a Sunday afternoon. She enjoyed her day, but I have to say I thought the museum was dingy. The layout was good, but all of the accessories and toys were basically missing. There was no staff in the actual museum to clean up or assist. Definitely dirty and germy.... More

I had my daughter's 5th Birthday party at the central location. One of the staff members walks me to the party room rental and does not bother to ask if I need anything, I ask for tape for decorations and he looks at me as if I were a alien. I had to keep walking up to the counter to... More

We took our nieces and nephews who were visiting from Vermont. They felt it was one of the best hands on experiences they had at a children's museum. Their parent one of which is a school teacher gave it very high marks for creativity and keeping the kids engaged. The felt if they lived in the area they would have... More
