This is a great place to go to while in Virginia Beach with tons to do and see. If you love picnic's and nature come here. We spent several hours just exploring the grounds. There were many vehicles in the parking lots for Maymont, but the place is so large that it did not seem like there was many people... More

Love the mansion tour...like stepping back in time. I missed the tour of the basement (kitchen and servants quarters) so I'll be back. The swan bedroom alone is worth a visit! The grounds are gorgeous. There's so much to do. They were having a wedding in the Italian gardens while we were there. It is hot in the summer though,... More

There is NOTHING but good I can say about Maymont Park! I've been going there for 50 years and I never get tired of visiting! Seems like I ALWAYS see something new in each visit! Thank you, Maymont!

Maymont is a gorgeous park in the heart of Richmond. The grounds are very well kept, plenty of places to picnic or sit under a tree. A huge variety of gardens. The animal areas are well maintained. Any time of year is perfect to visit this lovely place. No entry fee, except a request for donation. I have visited many... More

The house at Maymont is beautiful, though not as big as I thought it would be, but the tour is definitely worth the time and money. The tour guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. If you have time, take time to explore the entire property. The park-like setting is worth spending an afternoon enjoying.

Definitely one of the most beautiful & unique public parks in Richmond. All the buildings on the grounds are beautiful. The waterfall, gardens, stairs, koy pond... All of it just kept in top shape & absolutely gorgeous. This is also free, just ask for a $5 donation when touring the house. Which is worth seeing. Long trail with beautiful scenery... More

Really great park. They have tours of the mansion for the history buffs, the various gardens for the outdoor buffs, animals and petting zoos for the kids (or kids at heart!) And miles of trails around the 100 acres of land. Great for fling out of town guests, something to do on a weekend afternoon, a date, or with the... More

My husband and I have been to Maymont on at least four occasions and we have enjoyed each time. Two of the occasions were for the Herbs Galore & More event (2013 & 2014). This is going to be annual tradition for us. It is not just for the variety of plants available for purchase, but also to be able... More

We visited this place for about 4 times since October of last year and I must stay we get to see something new each time. Be prepared to walk a lot as it's a HUGE park. I wish that their tour times for the mansion is available the whole day on weekends where visitors are at its peak. 4 times... More
