We really enjoyed the ride, lasted an hour the guide provided lots of history...$6 for adults. Saw turtles and a blue heron.

A fun 40 minute tour through Richmond history. An open air canal boat cruised past a blue heron, turtles and and lush plant life. Our guide was very knowledgable and made history fun!!!

This tour was timed right at 40 minutes and our driver/narrator knew his stuff. The canal area and the old tobacco factories have been re purposed well.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the attendant from which we purchased our tickets. He was nice and very helpful. The boat was a little late arriving back at the dock from the previous tour. Ross was very knowledgeable and attentive. He really knows the area and the history. However, you really don't have a lot to see. I'm ad... More

The canal cruise starts at 12 noon and leaves every hour thereafter. Come a little early and buy your tickets ($6 adults/ $5 kids 5+). It's a 40 minute ride packed with lots of history about Virginia, the canal, civil war, etc. There isn't a ton to see while on the canal, but it's nice nonetheless.

What a surprise and delight it was to discover the Canal Cruises on a gorgeous sunny day. Our boat's captain and guide goes by the name of Cotton and knows local history very well, telling it with a story teller's enthusiasm. The ride was about 50 minutes long and very reasonably priced. Nature perks along with all the history included... More

This is a very inexpensive tour which introduces you to the history of the canal. The tour is only about 45 minutes and it is very relaxing and a lot of fun!

Took visiting family on this short canal cruise, they give you some history of the canal and history of Richmond, VA.. it's not a long trip and probably better for the adults.

I took my four year old daughter on the canal tour. We had a great time. The price was very resonable. I enjoyed the history and my daughter enjoyed the ride in the boat. I highly recommend this tour. We had Cotton as our tour guide. He kept the tour fun and informative. He was quick with a joke and... More
