Beautiful gardens. Well worth the stop.

This seems like a great place to take kids. There's a large area where kids can play in various pint-sized buildings. There's a "tree house" that kids / parents can walk up into that overlooks a small lake. Plenty of paths to stroll and walk. Quiet places too if you don't have kids and good food. Recommend the tea house... More

I almost crossed Richmond of my list of places to stop on my road trip because I was running late for everything. I decided to cut a day off DC instead since I had already been. My first of 2 stops was the Ginter gardens. I wasn't expecting much because it was early spring but even with most of the... More

We really enjoyed just walking along the paths and visiting the greenhouse! The gift shop is also wonderful!

I had heard a lot about this place from my sis as well as my parents, who loved their visit here. It's a good place to visit, maybe better during the summer. I loved the orchids in the greenhouse. Best collection I've seen recently.

This place is great year round because of the stunning green house and outlying buildings. We explored the nice library and gift shop also. Of course, during growing season the gardens are outstanding, but we got in free in the dead of winter and still enjoyed it.

I loved the light show at Christmas, and the tropical plants in the hothouse, the Japanese garden, the water gardens. If you love flora and fauna, this is the place for you to get your fill. Spend an hour or a day, you won't be disappointed. Don't rush through it, it needs to be savored.

Went at Christmas time, the lights and exhibits were beautiful. It was very crowded and many unhappy, crying babies and toddlers, probably not the best for these ages. It was cold of course it was December! And dark so lights look even more beautiful.

It is great to visit here any time of year. The lights at Christmas should not be missed, though; they are amazing. Everything is well cared for and the paths and arrangements are well organized. The highlights for me are the orchid house and Japanese area. If you get a chance, check out the tea house, as well. For the... More

The Christmas light show is unbelievable with a separate childrens area maze and tree house. The indoor hot house is always beautiful and makes for great pictures. Dog night is fun too when you can take your favorite pooch. Had my wedding reception in the back garden where the house is. Absolutely beautiful for a reception.

I haven't experienced LG during the winter (Lights and Christmas, etc.), but I can say that the warmer months aren't to be missed. The Children's Garden has a splash park that is great! Other things to entertain such as a giant sandbox and a tree house. I haven't made it to the butterfly exhibit, but it looks like a worthy... More
