We visited early on a July morning, the reserve opens at 7am. The Zingaro is a wonderful reserve with paths along the cliff tops with superb sea views. I would say you would need to be moderately fit to walk it and the paths are a bit rough underfoot, so trainers rather than flip flops. There are also some lovely... More

I went for a walk alone up on the mountains, and trekked about 20km total, to elevation of about 650m, after which I was exhausted. Amazing, rugged views up there, and I met nobody for except a shepherd and his 300 sheep for 6 hours. I went on a cloudy day, don't go without on a cloudless day and of... More

So wonderfull place! You can take a walk and swim and relax at so beautiful (and overcrowded) beaches. I took a flipflops for this trip and it wasn´t good choice. But nothing impossible. Just walk and relax and see the nature!

We hiked to to the first beach from the Castellalmmare side. It was very beautiful! Stunning scenery and great pebble cove. Go early before the heat and crowds. Also bring water and snacks. Park gates open at 7am I think....

A stunningly beautiful & peaceful nature reserve. Lots of walks, some easy & quite flat. The North end is more picturesque than the south & the walk is flatter. There are also more strenuous walks up the surrounding mountains & hills. I was advised by a local not to try one in trainers! There are interesting little museums along the... More

Great place to go walking and chill on a beach when you get too hot. Take more than flip-flops if you plan on walking here

Walking trails are fairly good, but there is virtually no shade so you should carry a good supply of water with you. Toilets are hard to come by, but in places there are bushes to shelter in.

The parking is free and the small entrance fee is really worth it. You walk along the coast and enjoy an incredible view especially at sunset. You have many beaches along the way and they are like little paradises. Be prepared though because the terrain might be rough (steep and rocky) so make sure you have proper shoes. Bring water...
