We have visited the island with the turistic train. We did not see the turtle hospital, the told us once on the island that the hospital was not open, the travel agency told us a different story! Absolute must visit when you are in the north-western part of Sardinia.
Best timing - springtime with flower blooming in various colors.
Still enjoyed it even in August!
We took the 4x4 guided trip which is like "Asinara express" and takes you in one day to all places. Definitely do not take the bus or "little train" as it limits...
