A fantastic stone copy of an elefant on a place where you do not expect to find it! You can make some fine selfies with yourself and the stone elefant. Go for it!! The parking place was was not sufficiant for the cars being there and we also missed some service facilities.

If you stay in Castelsardo or just nearby the town, a trip to Roccia dell'Elefante is recommended. But it's certainly not obligatory.

We saw the signage and we went to see it, it seems really an elephant and it's nice to take a couple of pictures if you are on the way.

We visited this ancient burial site on the way to Castelsardo. In the right light it definitely looks like an Elephant, we took pictures to prove it, and the explanation that came with it was very interesting. We anjoyed a half hour stop and encourage others to do so.

Its a rock on the side of the road - kids may like it for 2 minutes if they are really bored! - Go if you have 2 minutes to spare!

It looks as live animal just changed to stone. But I don not know if African or Indian. Good short stop on the way to Castelsardo.

Looks a bit like an elephant and has the ubiquitous trinket seller next to it. Takes 5 minutes to view and take the amusing elephant trunk on head photo

Its located quite close to Castlesardo on a hill overlooking a long valley. The rock was shaped by the wind to give it the distinctive elephant look. Worth stopping if you are passing. You will need a car to get there and it can get busy at peak times.

The elephant rock is a really nice natural phenomenon which is really worth a 5 minutes drive from Castelsardo. At night it is beautifully enlightened and seems even more surreal.
