Love seeing old classic movies with a group. Also, cant beat it that you can buy wine and beer!!!! date... More

It is evident that this theater exudes charm which is reminiscent of old school movie theaters. Brattle theater caters to serious film enthusiasts. You can relive the classics with the theater's amazing film selection.

The brattle has a personality and charm that the mainstream movie theaters lack. Location is also a plus

I went to the Brattle Theatre for the Burt Lancaster tribute and was pleasantly surprised to see an old moviehouse in excellent condition. The theatre is independently owned and the film selection is awesome. I recommend this place for serious moviegoers interested in film history and for anyone who enjoys good films.

I went here a couple of weeks ago for a date it is really an amazing theater. It is kinda hidden from the street right next to Harvard Square. There is a bar and they tend to show lots of old movies. I would suggest this if you are not a fan of the big corporate movie theaters!

Reasonable prices, good snack stand, and the best and most unusual of old films. On every Boston cineaste's list of "must" theaters.

The Brattle has a homey lived-in feel that I just adore-- and rightly so! It's been around seemingly forever. It's a fabulous place to go see new and interesting art films, check out cool events and festivals (for instance, they frequently host authors doing readings in collaboration with Harvard Bookstore), and see fun nostalgic movies. For instance, they recently did... More

This is a good theater. It is not extraordinary or superior to many in the area. It doesn't need to be. The seats are good, there are a good number of screens, and it plays the current movies the other typical theaters are playing. Prices of popcorn and soda and nachos are the typical mindblowing prices that people over 60... More

We didn't go on our recent visit, but this is THE place for vintage films and film festivals (devoted to an actor or director or subject). If you like movies the way they USED to be, go.
