The Harvard Book Store combines the charm and service of a local bookshop with the deep and broad selection of a chain bookstore. The Harvard Book Store carries just about every book you could want, and if they don't have it, they can get it for you. To have such a great selection packed into a relatively small storefront is... Across the street from Harvard. It's everythinh a bookstore should be. We picked up some books for the flight jome, and some souvenirs for friends. Employees were attentive and knowledgeable. Loved it!

Upstairs holdings are new books, used books occupy the basement along with new "leftover" books that are discounted, up to 80% off list price. Great place to browse and stumble across a new favorite author.

Great selection. Used books in the basement, bargains near the staircase, regular sale all around. I go to this bookstore regularly. I also love this book store for their amazing author events. In recent years they have had writers like Margaret Atwood and Stephen King do readings. Awesome!

We all use Amazon because it is so convenient, but there is nothing like the experience of a real bricks and mortar bookstore, and the Harvard Bookstore is one of the best. Research shows that a book you hold in your hands and read is a book you are much more likely to remember (and enjoy) than its electronic counterpart.... More

The tour is given by Harvard students so is a closer perspective about the u environment, they told you cool students stories and is way better than walk around buildings.. It worths the 10 bucks and the guide was awesome!!!

The Harvard bookstore is, after the shops along Charing Cross Road in London, my favorite place to spend some time looking at books. More the basement section where they have second-hand copies and the like.I have absolutely no self control in a spot like that one (hence the title - I'm basically like the proverbial child in the candy store)... Harvard Book Store is a Harvard Square institution. In an age when brick-and-mortar bookstores are being swept up in e-retailer whirlwinds, a local investor decided to keep this cherished book store open. It continues to stock a diverse array of children's books, travel books, fiction, non-fiction, and academic titles befitting its location across the street from one of the world's... More

This is my favorite bookstore in Cambridge. Excellent selection. Authors come and do readings. It never lets me down.
