Take a walk, run a few miles or ride a bike along the river. There are plenty rides and the view won't get you tired of your work out. Boston prime time for a sunny day.

Watch the Fourth of July fireworks from the Cambridge side of the river. Smaller crowd, easier getaway at the end.

Depending on where you're at, the Charles River can give you very nice views of downtown Boston. Seasonally you can also catch several crew boats out on the waters.

I'm a history teacher who loves tours and have lead tours in the past. I also recognize that all teachers and tour guides are not the same. I was under-whelmed by the information provided. There was too much down time between bits of information. The boat itself, the length of tour (60 minutes), and the cost were fine. I just... More

excellent area for runners/bikers/walkers. Scenery is wonderful, paths are well maintained and usually there are boaters to enjoy has you go down the waterfront trails.
