It's a river, not sure what you can do with it other than to walk along the banks. Not bad scenery, but nothing to get excited about. I just question listing this as an attraction.

Beautiful seeing the rowers out on the river, all wrapped up to stay warm and rowing as singles, doubles, fours and eights.

Took some lovely pictures of the Boston skyline from the Cambridge side. A lovely walking path and bridges to go across. Just a beautiful area!

It's lovely and enchanting. One can just sit next to the bank or actively get into a canoe or water board. Very pleasant to just walk along the banks too.

Spent a week in Cambridge with friends. Went walking along the Charles every day. Enjoyed watching crew practice on the river.

Royal Sonesta is on the Charles river, open the door and start walking on a beautiful paved path that takes you right along the river.

We had visited Boston during the first weekend of October for a sampling of fall colors and were unaware of the big event that was about to take place. I spotted a magazine cover in the hotel lobby that featured the Head of the Charles Regatta (HOCR) on its 50th anniversary. I looked it up and was amazed I had... More

It is lovely to just drive by and watch the scullers working hard. The Charles makes every place you go look better. It is not even so bad to be stuck in traffic on Memorial Drive. It is always clean and well kept.

We walked an 8.5 mile loop, starting at Harvard Square. We took the street to the bridge to Harvard stadium, but turned left along the Memorial Dr river path. We walked past Harvard and MIT. We could see the gold dome of the State House. We crossed on a bridge near MIT with stairs to the Boston side path. There... More

Lots of things to do - rowing, sailing - and see on the river and in the former docks area, irrespective of time of year
