I toured the Charles River on a short cruise, and enjoyed how easy it was to view the skylines of both Boston and Cambridge. The experience was definitely more relaxing and comfortable than a bus tour.

If you're a tourist you should visit the Charles River because it's the "dirty water" the Standells sing about in their only hit besides the Munsters Theme Song. The Charles isn't at all dirty anymore. It's beautiful and blue. It's a very nice place to walk and run along.

The weather was perfect in late July 2015 to walk down next to the river and enjoy the trail and surroundings. SO pretty!

A great place to bike, walk or rent a kayak and see a different view of Boston and Cambridge. You can stroll down either side or Storrow Drive or Memorial Drive and enjoy the views and true Bostonians enjoying the day.

It has it all, Water, banks, boats and whatnot. Didn't smell, that was a nice bonus. Lots of people running around it. some times it was windy.
