You should spare some time for walking along the edge of Charles River. You can visit at the Boston University during your walking.

I went for a long walk around it, it was a very relaxing walk with a beautiful view in a beautiful city. I truly recommend this to everyone!

Constant place of acitivity, running along the shore or watching the sail boat race. A place to collect your thoughts and just ponder.

Had a great boat ride along the Charles River as part of the trolley tours. Awesome - took in all the sites and the boat guide was brilliant. Definitely worth doing on a lovely sunny day.

The Charles River is one of the best features of the Cambridge/Cambridgeport neighborhood where I spent the summer. Very accessible, plenty of grassy areas, some cleaner than others, refreshing shade on a hot summer day. I found the greenway on the Memorial Drive side of the bridge more inviting east of the BU bridge - less trash, a few more... More

The Charles at sunset, the bench, and the Borges story. It was mystical. The river flows and yet you sit there seemingly without changes, so it makes you wonder whether in fact time flows or whether your consciousness just flows over time's eternally stable calendar.

There are a lot of activities to do on the river and the views are beautiful. It's also a great place to walk around or sit to relax. A lot of people seem to enjoy it as well, which makes it a lively place.

Take the boat trip from behind the Cambridge Galleria at Lechmere: you can get a "T" right there. It's worth the $15 for an hour on the river, but you soon realise that the guide is struggling to fill the hour with interesting commentary of what you can actually see. It's a nice trip though, showing the Longfellow Bridge, the... More

Good path for walking, running, jogging. Kayaking, boating canoeing are activites that are often observed. Quite peaceful and the water is serene. Space was available when we were there. Not sure if the water is clean.
