Good kit provided, pricing charged for every 10 minutes - that's a good thing because if you go out for an hour 10 minutes, you're charged for an hour 10 minutes, rather than 2 hours! Would have liked better weather report, I.e., this is where the wind is blowing, and details on what else was happening on the river, what... More

The campus of MIT is interesting, sculpture and interesting architecture. Harvard is a must, walking around there is like being in a time warp. Experience something that is rare, visit the Havard Book Store, spend some time wandering around and buy a book, these places are disappearing.

The Cambridge location is perfect for a quick get away from downtown meetings. They are located directly on a canal, with easy parking right next door. It's a wonderful way to see the Boston and Cambridge skyline. A great paddle is up the Charles River to Newton. On the way you can see MIT, Boston University and Harvard. Keep a... More

My family surprised me with a 50th b-day trip to Boston overnight. They scheduled a kayak tour in Cambridge on the Charles to Boston Harbor, ending at the Barking Crab where we ate lunch and then were driven back to the starting point. It was an amazing trip. Karen was a wonderful tour guide, pointing out many landmarks along the... More

Brought some friends with me visiting in from out of town and we loved it! Super easy and fairly cheap. We were out for about 90 minutes which was plenty of time to paddle around. Note: the recommended parking garage is only $1 with validation AFTER 4pm otherwise it's pretty pricey. Take the T. Also, bring a water bottle, there... More

My 2 daughters and I kayaed this last week on a beautiful sunny day -- we had a great time. The staff were very nice and accommodated us quickly. My only concern was that we saw a canoe full of people struggling to make way, and got the impression that the staff did not give them any pointers on how... More

Rented a two seater Kayak on the Charles River this summer. In my eyes one of the best ways to enjoy not only a vert nice way to explore the banks of Charles River on Cambridge side but also a front row seat for the best Boston skyline view. The staff is nice and supportive.

This past 4th of July, my brother, my fiance, our dog, and I canoed the Charles to watch the fireworks. It... was... spectacular !! A definite must-do. They asked we bring a 100' rope and anchor so we brought at 25lb cinder block. We didn't need the rope since they tied their rope to our anchor for us. When we... More

We rented a canoe to watch the fireworks on the fourth. Check in and out we're both amazingly efficient and it was a fun idea, but the amount of boat traffic and currents made it tricky to actually sit back and enjoy the show. A kayak may have been a better choice. All in all, a good experience, but not... More

We did a guided Kayaking tour for 2 hours in July 2013. The guide taught us how to kayak, gave us great history about Boston and the Charles River. One note - it is a decent workout on the tour. You are kayaking (meaning rowing) almost continuously for 2 hours. We are in our early 30's, workout a few times... More
