Great scenery opportunity to sail and walk along lakeside. Many restaurants and cafes. IMHO not a place to visit in high season as parking is almost impossible during normal weekdays. Dog mess, particularly at Trevignano Romano which seems to be populated by upmarket women walking handbag dogs that poo everywhere. More

Most people visiting Rome only experience the lake as a sight to see before their aircraft does a right turn on its approach to Fiumicino. Its a pity because there are three towns on the lake, Anguilarra, Trevignano and Bracciano all of which are attractive in their own way and benefit from a surfeit of restaurants e.g. there is the... My first visit to Lake Bracciano was a hot summer day in August. I'd come by bus and walked down from the old town, which by the way is charming, and part way down the winding footpath the lake was suddenly revealed to me - it was magnificent! Huge, blue, with the sun reflecting all over it. It took my... More

The Bracciano Inn is very close to the center of the little... More

This lake is only about half an hour away from Rome (by car), and seems to magically appear after fields and fields when you least expect it to. The City of Bracciano is really a village, and a nice one at that. There is an ancient castle and an incredible view down to the lake. You can take a train... More

We went to the town of Bracciano mainly to visit its castle and stumbled across this amazing Trattoria named DA REGINA, which is located right near the university. It just seats 20-30 people, so you may have to wait to get in as we did, because it fills in FAST with the locals, Its worth the wait. Delicious home cooking,... More

The most stunning place where to spend a week or more having fun riding or just walking in the terking areas of the National Park. "Casale di Martignano" is a Farmhouse set in the middle of the park, at a short walk from the lake and where you will enjoy the most delicious food of the tradition. A perfect house... More
