It was interactive, colorful, and full of information. There were live stage productions and rooms set up with specific time period information and artifacts. Very well done!
This is a wonderful museum! The displays and theater presentations really bring history to life in a way we can relate to today. We were a group of adults, but I think this is a great museum for kids too. Take the time to sit in on the theater presentations. They are very well done. Be sure to go into... More
My husband and I are from England so our knowledge of Abe and the American Civil war was limited until we came here. This is a great museum that's really interesting as well as being informative. This museum was a great experience, combining historical literature, artifacts, lifelike figures, and latest in technology. I have read many books about Lincoln and the Civil War and enjoyed how this museum brought to life Abe and his family. For the cost of a movie, you will have a memorable time.
Very nice. Be sure to see the movies. Also, they are very strict about food and drink. I forgot I had a granola bar in my purse and the guard made me promise not to eat it; I'm glad I didn't have to throw away. However, there is a coat room and lockers.
I have read extensively about Abraham Lincoln. This place blew me away! I was there a full day and if one knew a little less about Lincoln one could be there for many days.
Unbelievable place to visit, the Theater presentations are awesome and bring history to life. We went for a day trip from St Louis and made the Museum our first stop. It was amazing to walk through the history of Abe's life and political career. It really gives you a great sense of where he came from and what he struggled... More
This little museum is packed full of Lincoln's life and legacy. I would say give yourself at least 2 1/2 or 3 hours to make your way through the exhibits and see the video presentations. Overall, it's a fun way to learn about Lincoln and see bits and pieces of US history.
We've visited several Presidential libraries and this is the best. Two very good movies plus excellent dioramas depicting various events during Lincoln's life and Presidency. We'll worth the visit; allow a couple of hours.
