Ho Hum - sorry to say

The typical early 80s mall that cannot keep up with handier strip malls and online shopping. Not much new and lots of empty stores

It is a familiar place to me. I remember it growing up as a kid and everytime I wander back to Illinois, it beckons to me. The people still seem to care

This is a nice mall overall. During our visits to the area over the years, it had always appeared that this mall was on its way out, but we were surprised during this visit. The interior seems to have been renovated at some time and feels more inviting. There were a large number of stores between the two floors which... More

we stopped in to pick up a couple things and to kill some time. it had a lot of choices to shop not too many high dollar stores but nice for us middle class shoppers. nice food court and a play area for the little ones. the shops we went in are fairly large with a nice variety. If I... More

On bad weather days the mall can be a nice outing. There is a child's soft play area, carrousel and train. The train is located at the opposite end of the playground. There is a glow in the dark mini golf course. The mall has most national brands. It isn't as big as huge malls in big cities but it's... More

Two stories, nicely laid out, lots of shops and employees were very nice. We bought some shoes and clothes.

If you're used to shopping in big malls in big cities, prepare be to disappointed. Pretty small, only 2 floors. All the stores are pretty cheap retail stores, none of the higher end stores you'll find in big cities. They had an Abercrombie and Fitch for awhile but even that got closed down because it was too expensive. Food court... More

I used to work at the Cookie Factory store so my review might be biased. Our family actually had a good time there. We ate at the food court, with a good variety to choose from. My husband had a sub and my son and I had Chinese. We loved the food. Then I bought my son a cookie at... More

We expected more from this mall once we saw the review. The food court options were very limited and we had to leave to eat dinner. They are doing a renovation, maybe this will help.

Local nickname: "White Folks Mall." That's because they built it as far from the "colored" section of Springfield as they possibly could. This limited mall is sort of a junior version of most large city malls. If you're accustomed to Los Angeles or Phoenix malls, you're going to walk in, take one look at the small place, and walk back... More
