We visited on one of the hottest days in summer so keep that in mind. We took the tram to tour the grounds (a wise choice, but it would make a beautiful hike as well), discovering loess soil, rose gardens, a Japanese garden in the making, a conservation garden ... all of it worthy of spending a few hours to... This garden is quite large with lots of room to grow. The gardens are varied & nicely maintained. As the gardens are spread out I'd highly recommend the tram tour as a way to get oriented. The current sculpture display is impressive and nicely integrated into the gardens. The Union Pacific engines are certainly a unique inclusion in a garden... More

I am in the bank travel industry. I take senior citizens on bus tours. I took a group to Omaha for five days on July 20th. One of our activities was the Lauritzen Gardens. What a beautiful place. My seniors got to tour the botanical center before our tram ride. The tram ride was wonderful in that the seniors got... More

After visiting the top rated zoo the day before we weren't expecting much from the gardens, but to our surprise it was another wonderful day in Omaha. We love to walk and certainly get our exercise for the day.

My wife and I enjoy walking around the perfectly manicured grounds and trails outside. Awesome indoor botanical gardens too, just like you were in Hawaii or somewhere tropical. Great place to take a 2 hour break when traveling on I-80 just blocks from the interstate

Very beautiful place. More there than I expected. Can walk trails or take a tram. Very nicely maintained $10 a person to get in which I thought was cheap for as much as there was to see there.

We are so fortunate in Omaha to have such a beautiful parcel of land on the Missouri river to call our own. Lauritzen Gardens provides year-round tours of flowers, trees and plants, offers interesting classes for children and adults, and special exhibits. The cafe offers fresh snack choices and a nice place to lunch with a friend to catch up.... More

This is a must visit place! But beware it is not that friendly for those who need assistance getting through the heavy entry and interior doors in the Visitor Center and the Conservatory. We arrived Saturday morning around 9:30am and it was not very busy. Not one of the over dozen handicapped parking spaces was occupied. Now I know why.... More

We made our second trip to Lauritzen Gardens to see the Legos display with a 3 yr old my mother babysits. I dont know who liked the legos more, us or the child! The displays were amazing. I love how the lego sculptures were mixed in with the plants.
