We enjoyed our visit to the garden it has several nice features scattered about it acreage. There were a lot of spring blossoms and a nice temporary exhibit of animal sculptures placed throughout the property. I feel the garden has a way to go before it reaches the level of excellence of the zoo but you can tell a lot... More

Lauritzen Gardens is a hidden gem. It's do able to walk the entire grounds, tour the beautiful conservatory, and enjoy a very cost effective, hearty lunch at the cafe.....all in a few hours. Of course, you can focus on one area and spend your entire time there. The RR layout is especially fun for "kids" of all ages. Any season... More

Visited with my wife during Christmas and the had the poinsettia tree set up and several model trains running amongst the miniature omaha building replicas in the atrium. Trains, buildings and plant life was all great to see. We also enjoyed the new glass greenhouse building with all the tropical plants and waterfalls. Great place to take a stroll and... More

Never a dull moment at the gardens. Love to see each seasonal change inside and outside at the Lauritzen Gardens. Beautiful place to walk, to enjoy the summer concerts, or just to Be in the lovely surroundings! Omaha is lucky to have them.

While across the interstate from the Henry Doorly zoo, it's much more vast and impressive than you can see from the interstate, and not quite as easy to get to, but once there you can easily spend the entire day there with your family. The palm exhibit is amazing and a newer attraction. If your into railroading, the model railroad... More

Loved all of it. It was peaceful and had unique exhibits. The train and tracks were so unique and cleaver. Excellent place to go to chill out, wallk off some calories or ride the tram. Photographers enjoy this place (I did!) so much to take photos of!

This place definitely comes to live in the warmer months. Whilst you can visit during winter you miss out on a whole lot of the beautiful gardens. The indoor exhibits are nice, but probably not enough to be worth paying the entry fee for.

Went during a visit to Omaha in earlier May which is not the best time for a visit to the gardens. Took a tram ride, for a small additional cost which allowed us to see most of the various gardens. Particularly liked the train garden, a small scale replica. My husband took a solitary walk through the bird sanctuary which... More

Many flowers were in blooms. Tried the tram for the first time. Was a nice way to have dialogue along the way. There are several stops throughout the gardens where you can get off. Great for a family afternoon.

This is the shining jewel of Omaha! The gardens are just gorgeous. We especially liked the "railroad garden" with it's hundreds of feet of track made from natural woods and bark. It also has lots of buildings scattered about. There are about four or five trains running all the time. So creative! The staff is fabulous and the gift shop... More
