Everything at the gardens is beautiful. This is a top notch attraction. I especially enjoy the twilight temple nights - so organized - everything spells professionally done :)

If you like a pleasant stroll through beautiful and varied gardens, Omaha's Lauritzen Gardens is a hit. They are constantly expanding, so each trip offers additional sights and experiences. If you don't want a long walk you can take the tram and just walk the inside gardens.

Maybe I'm picky, but when I go to a garden, I like to wander the paths, enjoy the sounds of birds and sit and view the flowers. Unfortunately, this was not my experience at Lauritzen. I arrived right when it opened. I started wandering the paths and every path I took there was some type of noise making machine including... More

It was not as nice as I expected it to be. There weren't that many flowers in bloom, unless you enjoy tons and tons of ragweed! Yes ragweed. I did ask about the Conservatory, and when it would open. I was told in October. So I would wait to go when it becomes available for viewing. I would consider visiting... More

I've been to the gardens several times, for specific exhibits or on free days, and I've always enjoyed the experience. Every time there are different flowers in bloom, so the gardens are never the same place twice. The rose gardens are beautiful, but all the gardens are beautiful. I appreciate that the plants are marked, so i can learn what... More

First of all, not an Omaha native, only been here 3 years. But Lauritzen Gardens is now a go to place to take family, from my own young adult children, to my parents, to my young nephews ages 11 and 8 at time of visit. There is a little something for everyone. I am from DC area, so no stranger... More

Wonderful place to take a walk all year though during the growing season is certainly more beautiful. A friend had bought a memorial brick for my dad's passing in the "Herbal Garden" which I loved. You can ride a touring "train" or walk and there is usually an art collection on display indoors. In the summer, I love the pond..take... More

Thanks to an anonymous benefactor, Lauritzen Gardens was free on Monday, September 1st, Labor Day. My mom and I took advantage of this person's generosity, and had a lovely day. The weather was perfect, which contributed to our enjoyment of our outing. The property that Lauritzen occupies is quite spread out, and interlaced with paths among greenery, sculptures, and ample... Very nice. The wife is a flower enthusiast and she was very impressed. The next time we return we will ride the tram to get a layout of the facility. If you are a model train fan they gave a large layout intertwined between the trees and flowers. The trestles are made from tree branches. No premodern stuff here. Well... More

Absolutely loved these gardens. Though a portion was under construction, there were plenty of acres to wander through. A highlight for us was the Model Train garden. Both adults and kids could have watched the trains weave through stone tunnels and across bridges made of twigs for hours. The construction of the buildings was stunning. (Be sure to pick up... More
