Very nice, but certain gardens still being developed- Japanese etc. Conservatory has a nice selection of plants. Trams to take you to outer gardens. Nice, but not like a old well established Botanical Garden Center. Has some growing to do to match St. Louis Garden. It will get there. Children will like Minature Trains garden & tram ride up the... A great visit. If you are just visiting for the day or afternoon make sure the blooming season is underway. If I was a local and visiting often, I wouldn't have minded the lack of bloom. The Lego displays were beautiful. Nicely laid out, but may be tricky for those in wheelchairs.

Everywhere we walked we saw the grandest display of foligage of budding flowers. The staff was impressive with knowledge on each and every plant and question we asked.

A recent visit to Lauritzen Gardens was quite an adventure! Not only do the gardens have a wide variety of beautiful plant displays, sculptures made with LEGO bricks can be found throughout the botanical center. It has an appeal for children and adults alike! I highly recommend visiting the Nature Connects 2 exhibit soon, as it is scheduled to be... More

I've been going to Lauritzen Gardens for over 8 years and to be upfront: I'm the kind of person who would rather get a pitcher of beer and wings than go to a "garden". But after being gently forced to go by my lovely wife I founnd this is not your garden variety Garden. Simply put; Lauritzen Gardens is a... More

The new conservatory is a class act all the way. It is simply gorgeous. My 10 year old daughter really enjoyed finding all the Lego sculptures scattered throughout the property. Everything is very well maintained and it is truly a wonderful place to visit and take photos.

Even this early in the Spring, there were some beautiful flowers on the grounds. The technicians working on getting the model trains to run beginning next weekend were kind enough to turn them on for a few minutes so we could watch. The conservatory was awesome, and we loved the Lego display! Can't believe I've never made time to visit... More

My first visit with my mom. We had a great time taking pictures of plants and flowers. They have both Tropical and Temperate Plant Rooms.

It's halfway through March. Trees and bushes are barely starting to bud. If Spring is actually springing, it's very, very quietly. When my husband suggested we go to Lauritzen Gardens, I thought it would be a waste of time, but since our last visit, they've built a new conservatory, and let me tell you, it was worth the hour drive...
