I enjoy my membership, and the activities and beautiful surroundings. A great place to enjoy nature, or just a quiet reflective stroll. The art displayed in the visitor center adds to the beauty of the place

I went as a part of my stay here in Omaha. I really enjoyed the relaxed feeling of the gardens and how it calmed everything around it

I especially like the garden that has the trains running thru it. There are several different theme gardens and one from our sister city in Japan

We loved walking through the gardens. It was a lot of fun with tons of beautiful plants. There are so many different areas to walk through. I would recommend going earlier in the day to give yourself plenty of time to walk around and enjoy it. We went right after a full day at the Omaha Zoo and couldn't enjoy... More

Not huge but very well maintained and lovely. Wonderful outdoor model train exhibit; new conservatory to open in October 2014. Reasonably priced. I suggest riding the tram to the back, then walk back through the gardens. Also visit the FULL-SIZE trains at adjoining Kenefick Park (no charge).

We enjoyed the train ride through the gardens and the food in the little cafe was outstanding. The Kaneko sculptures fit in very appropriately too.

When you arrive, Lauritzen Gardens appears to be a typical botanical garden, but looks can be deceiving. The parking lot, visitor’s center and new greenhouse are all on a bluff, while most of the garden is significantly lower sitting on an old landfill, with a recently constructed sewer running through the middle of it. If you walk the garden, there... More

My wife and I had a few hours to kill as we were passing through Omaha and we were very surprised by how much we enjoyed the gardens. We highly recommend a visit. Be forewarned that you might think your GPS is taking you in the wrong direction because you enter through a residential neighborhood. No worries though because the... More

This was our first trip to the gardens. We will return. Our kids loved the train garden. We spent a great deal of time watching the trains run through the plants. The tram was a great feature when the kids tired of walking. It was much larger then we imagined. Pricing was great even on the food items. We will... More

Nice place, not crowded, as mentioned before, a great garden railroad area with 5 plus trains. There is a lot of work going on with a $3 million green house addition, until then the grounds are enjoyable to walk around. One of the best spots is the 4-8-8-4 "Big boy" steam locomotive train at the top of the hill for... More
