I was very impressed with this museum. The building itself is simply beautiful. There is a wide variety of interesting artwork throughout the museum. The outdoor sculpture gardens are neat, too. Definitely a worthwhile place to visit when you are in Omaha.

It's been a while since I visited the Joslyn Art Museum. I always see something new--even in the established exhibits. The Joslyn has begun placing reviews of some art pieces by members of the general public next to some of the paintings. It's so fun to see what a community leader or a school child thinks--and why. Remember to look... More

We were very impressed with the amount of art work in this collection. Some of the paintings were painted by well known painters from the 1600, 1700, and 1800 centuries. Some of the paintings were huge and in beautiful golden frames.

The Joslyn is one of the best museums in Omaha, especially now, that they have been able to admit the public for free (used to only be able to come on Saturday mornings for free). If you are a history buff, it is a feast for the senses. If you plan a trip to Omaha, and in the downtown area,... More

I simply love this museum. I've been there twice now when I've been in town and I can't get enough of their exemplary exhibits - permanent and traveling. The admission is free - you can't go wrong with that!

Just the right size for teenagers that are "not that in to art". Enjoyed the mix of paintings, sculptures, & artifacts. Make sure to walk the grounds & see the outdoor art.

This is a wonderful Art Deco museum that has a broad variety of art. We spent a Saturday morning touring the museum and it was delightful. Western art to Chinese, and a beautiful outside water feature and sculpture garden. Worth the visit!

So the art was amazing but I could have easily spent the afternoon just looking at and learning the history of the building that houses the museum. Stunning!
