We popped in to the museum on our last day in Omaha and found a wonderful place to spent a couple of hours. You can wander through the exhibits (most of them free) without being overwhelmed. The collection includes world renowned artists like Monet, Bierstadt, Rodin, and Cassat. We really enjoyed the artwork by Native Americans and the HUGE Chihuly... More

Lovely on the outside and the inside. Nice balance of exhibits, beautiful public areas, and the gift shop introduced us to an amazing local artist.

This is a free museum, so my expectations were very low. My expectations were blown away by this museum's collection.

The art collection at the museum is awesome. Plenty of different types to choose from and look at according to your own personal tastes. The rooms ate spayed into different themes as well. They have a room with a fountain in it where they hold receptions or can just wonder through to look at the world in there. I think... More

My family visited the Joslyn museum in early October. My 9 year old daughter, my stepmother, and I all enjoyed it. We found a great mix of claasic and modern styles and a variety of artists. The building and space itself is gorgeous with the stonework and fountain indoors, and water wall and gardens outdoors. The host at the door... More

The staff is friendly and willing to answer any questions you have. They have beautiful works of art from around the world and from various time frames. The art is displayed well and was visually a delight. There is also a sculture gared in front of the museum. The biggest surprise for me was that admission was free. This is... More

If art is a passion visit the Joslyn - what a great art gallery and museum - we spent 3 hours there and saw all the art collection, which included American ,such as Thomas Moran, Albert Bierstadt, Charles Remington etc, plus British and European artists !! ( a great Rembrandt self-portrait ) what a superb museum - a must visit.

The museum was free for us to attend & was a great way to spend a humid afternoon. There were several rooms inside the beautiful building that offered American, European, & modern art. The outside garden was also fun to see.

Grounds and building are very well kept. Pleasantly suprised that there is no admission fee for the museum. Very spacious and liked that it didn't feel cluttered with too many exibits jammed into each space. The interior fountain area was something I'd never seen in any art museums I'd previously been too, pretty cool. Had the pleasure of seeing Dr.... More
