We were given this cruise as a gift, we went on the afternoon cruise at noon on a Saturday. This cruise was a nice escape, as we live in Las Vegas. The Desert Princess is a paddle wheel style boat and they offer different tours, ranging from a 90 minute tour, a champagne brunch tour, and a dinner tour. They... More

We decided this would be a nice way to see the lake. We decided on a Sunday Brunch Cruise. I called and made our reservation, securing it with a credit card. We left our hotel in Las Vegas and headed to the dock. We paid our $10 fee to get into the park. We were unaware of the fee. We... More

While in Vegas we thought we would go over to the Lake Mead and see what's going on. We were first greeted by the Ranger Station to collect $10.00 to enter. I did not know that it would cost anything and when I told him I am a veteran he let me go through for free, for I would have... More

Found this while research the Hoover Dam tours. We did this afterwards and were so happy we did! Lake Mead is so beautiful and unique that a 90 minute tour is a must. Food and drinks are available - and don't miss the margarita! Outside can be hot - but worth standing out there for a bit; inside still allowed... More

Lake Mead and Hoover Dam tour. Starts with pick up at hotel and drive to Hoover Dam via Boulder City. Tour guide takes you underground to view the turbines and the pipes, giving the history of the build. Built by a total of 21000 men (about 5000 at a time) during the depression. Finished build under budget and 2 years... More

Came with my family for a Friday afternoon cruise to see Lake Mead and Hoover Dam. Worth checking out once, especially if you have kids with you. Cruise is about ninety minutes long, and staff is very friendly. There is a bar on board and food is also available to purchase. It can be very hot on the top outdoor... More

I Loved this, so old time sailing. The boats great, easy to find your way around. Lunch is provided and nice and simple! The margaritas are fantastic and to sit upstairs with the great view drinking them is amazing. The view of the hoover dam (stopped there before the cruise) from below is spectacular. Lovely staff but after I wanted... More

The paddle wheeler takes you on a cruise on Lake Mead, primarily to view the dam and then back. The tour took about 1 1/2 hours and they had taped commentary about the geography, history and culture around the lake. Provided good information about the area and covered a lot of material. The interior of the boat is set up... More

Took a tour which included the Lake Mead paddle cruiser, taken right to the top of the Hoover Dam, light lunch, good scenery, nice leisurely tour.

We did a scenic drive through the national recreation area and ended up near the dam. It was just too hot to walk to the dam so we decided to take the boat ride to the dam instead. The ride was nice but even inside in the AC it was a bit stuffy. We ate burgers on the boat on... More
