I read some reviews that the cruise was bland, boring and not worth the money - it all depends on your view of life. Yeah, I've been to Lake Mead plenty of times, I know the area fairly well but this afternoon cruise was more about being on the water and enjoying the afternoon. The cruise was about an hour... the Desert Priness paddle steamer is well worth going on, she does a tour on Lake Mead with commentary of history and interesting facts about the Lake and area and of course the Hoover Dam, some very good photographic opportunities. They have refreshments etc. on board and I believe they do lunches and dinners tho we just opted for the... More

The boat cruise was very pleasant; it was a unique experience to see the Hoover Dam from the back, and sadly, to experience the low water levels of Lake Mead by looking up at the "bathtub" ring indicating prior high water levels. My caveat on the experience concerns the insistence of the operator on individually photographing each individual or party... More

My wife and I went on the dinner cruise, perfect weather and a calm Lake Mead made the boat ride amazing. The crew and servers were very attentive and professional, and the drinks were reasonably priced. The only beef I had was with... well... the beef, the steaks were obviously precooked prior to our departure and you didn't have a... More

Went with family members on this family friendly excursion 21 miles from Las Vegas. You learn a lot about the area and Hoover/Boulder Dam and beautiful views. It is about a 90 minute ride to the dam and back. Look closely and you will see the sheep grazing on the mountains. There are drinks and snacks served on the boat... More

Wonderful afternoon --- lots of great information about the area, Hoover Dam and the making of the lovely paddle boat. Crew are helpful but not pushy. If you have the Vegas Bite card - since I was a solo they charged me half price instead of buy one get one free!!! I will definitely come back with other family members.

We loved this cruise. You have the option of buying food while on board. There are great views of Hoover Dam and the lake and surrounding areas. There is a very informative narrative while on the boat. There is a $10. fee to get into the park

Part of our full day excursion through Grey Line. We toured the upper Mead Lake area just above the Hoover Dam. Nice information, relaxing, great sights with narration. Make it part of your Hoover Dam touring day!

I liked this little cruise very much. We just did the afternoon cruise and bought burgers and nachos to share and enjoyed the sun and breeze and seeing the dam from the water

This was a good time and worth doing because it met the expectations that I had. It's an enjoyable cruise along the waters of Lake Mead where you can sit outside and enjoy the sun and the breeze. You get a decent view of the Hoover Dam. If you're looking at this cruise for the Hoover Dam - you should... More
