We were told about this cruise when we stopped for lunch on the way to the dam. It was a very pleasant afternoon. There were snacks available and the boat and dock facility were very clean. We did not make reservations ahead of time. There were only about 20 people on the 2 pm cruise. The cruise takes 90 minutes... More

Get away from the bright lights for an afternoon and take a rest the Lake Mead Boat trip is a good way to refresh one's self. The boat that looks like the old fashioned stern wheeler river boat goes around Lake and up to the Hoover dam and back with a intermittent commentary about the nature and also the how... More

For a day away from the casinos of Las Vegas, we drove to Lake Mead for a cruise. The parking is rough ground so we had to be very careful with the hire car. While we were in the queue to board the boat, I thought we were going to be jammed in like sardines in a tin, but I... More

We took our oldest sister there for her 60th birthday. We had the best time! We arrived early and enjoyed drinks at the boat dock/visitors center. We loved having our picture made so we could send it home to our parents. The food was nothing to write home about but it was good. The soup served in a champagne flute... More

A pleasant 90 minute distraction from Sin City. We drove but there are coach trips too. Parking is more building site than car park. Unpaved rough terrain. The snack bar is very basic but unbelievably cheap. Food and drink available on the trip. The tacky compulsory pictures are sooooo 1970's. The lake trip on a purpose built paddle wheeler enjoyable... We went on a coach tour which included a lunch cruise on Lake Mead . This was a lovely break from the Vegas hustle bustle , it was very calm and peaceful , but remember you are in the middle of the dessert so it was 42 degrees which is over 100 degrees to us . Very hot ! Even... More

We read about the desert princess on here before we ventured off to Vegas and decided to include it on the itinerary as we had hired a car for a few days. The marina is located not far from the highway and just 1/2 junctions up from the Hoover Dam, and is well sign posted from the main road. It... More

We were given this cruise as a gift, we went on the afternoon cruise at noon on a Saturday. This cruise was a nice escape, as we live in Las Vegas. The Desert Princess is a paddle wheel style boat and they offer different tours, ranging from a 90 minute tour, a champagne brunch tour, and a dinner tour. They... More

We decided this would be a nice way to see the lake. We decided on a Sunday Brunch Cruise. I called and made our reservation, securing it with a credit card. We left our hotel in Las Vegas and headed to the dock. We paid our $10 fee to get into the park. We were unaware of the fee. We... More
