I was disappointed. The center recommended expensive option every time over better ranked Trip Advisor Options. It's best to review their recommendations on Trip Advisor. Stick with Trip advisor. Poor listening skills on the staff's part.

I assume the ladies in the cabin were volunteers but they were so cheerful & helpful with information, nice pic of the cabin too.

It was a nice building and the people, one lady the day we were there, seemed to be knowledgeable about the city, but as for actual brochures and stuff, it was on the lean side in my opinion. It is a good thing I did my research before we arrived or we would not have seen as much or known... More

Stopped in to see about getting to Earthquake park and a couple other places by foot or public transit and all the info we and the person in front could received was take a taxi, or take the tourist trolley (which you can't get on and off of). Not helpful at all.

I am always amazed with how much enthusiasm the people at the visitor centers support travelers. This time I needed help - my hotel was a dump and I had not much of an idea what I could do in the next two days before getting to Homer. The lady at the visitor center pulled out various proposals from the... More

Staffed very well so you don't have to wait and they can answer any question you might have. They also give you a great map.

We had wandered around Anchorage most of the day, trying to squeeze in all we could on our last day there. The staff at the Information Center was pleasant, very knowledgeable of the area and more than willing to assist us in any way they could. There is a lot of info, brochures and maps on the inside and the... More

A few blocks from our hotel. The people were nice and answered all of our question. We found out how to see the city and suggestions on what to see and where to dine.

Loaded with brochures and help, that knows the Anchorage bowl. It is a great spot to have pictures taken. Also you have gift shops galore and the summer market is just two blocks away. Highly recommend this stop for all but especially the independent traveler.

The staff are very helpful, making calls for us and there's a shuttle from here to Alaska Native Heritage Centre. Very fortunate to met the guide full costumed in native and she was just awesome,
