We were a family of 7 and recently took their charter flight. The bears have disappeared from the places they are authorized to take tourists. Seems like the bears have found other fishing grounds or they are tired of tourists congregating there. Don't be fooled by the pics on their website, they are from a while ago! We were on... More

Today we took the flight seeing tour of McKinley/Denali with our pilot Justin. Words can not describe the experience. It was a perfect day for flying, the skies were clear and the sun highlighted the mountains. The peak of Denali broke through the clouds just as we flew by. We also were able to land on frozen Chelatna Lake. The... More

I've flown with Rust's many many times and each flight has been unique and amazing fun. The pilots all have great career experiences to share. They also have a great little shop at the Lake Hood location...go pick up a cool hat or shirt!

At 10 AM the four of us went on a floatplane overview trip (Anchorage flight seeing safari) of the Anchorage area. The aircraft was a single engine Beaver with easy space for six (another couple went along with us). Aircraft has a 5 hour fuel supply with a range of about 500 miles. The float plane field is located close... More

Very safe feeling from confident and knowledgable pilots. The Bear viewing at Redoubt Bay was sensational.

We called for a reservation on the morning of our flight and were able to get 2 seats on a glacier-viewing tour later that day. The reservation agent suggested that instead of purchasing the 30-minute tour, to instead spring for the next level up (1.5 hours). We're so glad we did - 30 minutes would have been a disappointment, but... More

My wife and I recently experienced one of Rust's flying expeditions and the result was well worth the effort. This company has modern aircraft and a great range of destinations. Our original destination was wiped out by weather but they rearranged their flight schedules and fitted us in to another area for viewing.

We booked a flight with Rust's for 3 hours. Pilot was great and was in contact with other pilots and the base to optimize our flight. We actually let him decide our flight pattern and were glad we did. We were also lucky that the day was beautiful. Staff is very professional, picked us up at our hotel and returned... More

We used Rust's flying service to go to see the bears. Our pilot was really nice and the flight was a lot of fun. When we got there we had a very full day of viewing bears from boats. They made us a great lunch of freshly caught salmon. It was a really great day. I have about 1300 images... More
