It's a great place to stop if you happen to be an airplane buff. It's located along the Tony Knowles Bike Trail but it is easy to drive to also. The scenery is nice, but the real attraction is watching the planes coming in over the point at very low elevation for their landing at Anchorage International.

This is a nice place to go to relax, look at the scenery aka sleeping lady aka Mt. Susitna, walk along "the beach," enjoy some graffiti, bring a can of spray paint and write your own. Watch the sunset and the planes fly over from the airport.

We happened to visit on an icy day making the "beach" area had to navigate. But the tenuous hike was worth arriving at the point. The view of Anchorage and the aircraft leaving the end of the runway made for a fun activity.

We love going to Point Woronzof, summer and winter alike, but it's especially fun in the summer. Nice walk down to the beach (steep, not wheelchair accessible) and great view of the water, and planes. Ice cream trucks are here frequently in summer.

This is our go-to "welcome to Anchorage" viewing location of our visitors. We come directly here from the airport to give our guests a sweeping view of the idyllic area we live in. At dusk in summer, we get a great view of the Alaska Range off in the distance, with the reflection of the setting sun on the waters... More

We went here and stayed about 3 hours just watching the planes take off. We were also able to see Denali & Mt Foraker! Plus Sleeping Lady, St. Augustine & Mt Re Doubt. The day was very clear with mo cloud cover. It was awesome!

As soon as you pick up your rental car, head down the road to the left out of the airport and you will find this awesome view at the end of the street. It was a clear day and we could see Denali as well as downtown Anchorage. Make this your first photo op and then go head out to... More

This is a ideal spot to catch some photo opportunities, plus it can't be more than a 5 minute drive from the airport. Of course we are talking about a sunny day in the summer months or even during the winter months. Great shots of Sleeping lady and sometimes you can catch Denali in the distance. This is also a...
