This is the place to be at sunset, winter or summer. Snowy or rainy. The view of Fire Island and Mt. Susitna is awe inspiring and a photographer's dream. This is a stop we make on each trip to Anchorage.

This place could be so much better and needs sprucing up. The sign is small and easy to miss, but public cant drive further. Went mid Sep, there was some rubbish and graffiti around and a bit of a sketchy feel, and the path to the "beach" (stones/mudflats) looked un-maintained and prone to landslip. Planes fly overhead so its not... More

great view of downtown Anchorage across the water, access to the beach, good for a relaxing walk if you do not mind the airplanes overhead

We made a short stop here, along with Earthquake Park, after a long day of flying to Anchorage. The views are nice but pale in comparison to what you'll likely see during the rest of your trip to Alaska. Watching the airplanes take off and fly almost directly over you is pretty cool and it is a good stop on... More

A great place to go watch the planes take off directly overhead while looking out over the water the mountains. We were there for about 45 minutes and saw about 8 airplanes take off.

I went here during low tide to search for agates and my husband came here for plane spotting and photography so it worked out well. The beaches are rocky and down off the bluff, so bring sturdy shoes. I saw a young girl with boots on that side down the hill because of no stability. The views of the Kenai... More

I love visiting the point when I'm in town. It's very peaceful and you can see anchorage from afar. In the summer you can walk the shoreline and find sea glass. In the winter you can still go and enjoy the view. It is breezy so bring a jacket and expect the temp to be lower than in town.

Incredible views here! But my favorite thing is watching the planes flying directly over you and hearing the sonic boom. I wish that there were a fence or some sort of warning by the bluff. It would be a very steep drop.

We have been to Point Woronzof during December when the only other crazy people out at the point are cross country skiers passing through on the groomed trail. It can be really windy out there on the point when the temperatures are below zero and the windy is whipping up waves on Cook Inlet, But wow! what a view! If... More
