We parked at Earthquake park and walked the mile or so to Point Woronzof. The view was amazing! Mt McKinley to the left and downtown anchorage to the right. Worth the stop.

This point has tremendous views of Cook Inlet and the Alaska Range. There's a parking lot, and its not far from Earthquake Park. A switchback trail gets you down to the water, not too steep. Great overlook spot.

A big parking lot past the edge of town is a great place to catch a sunset. Also a fun place to take kids who enjoy watching the jets take off and land right overhead.

Be sure to go down on the beach. Beautiful views of the city. Also a cool view of the planes taking off from the airport. Can be loud...but very cool.

Just love the view and the trail is groomed. It is loud near the airport, but I don't mind. Sunset is spectacular there.

We are so glad we decided to check this out. We were able to watch the tide changing. Many planes were landing at the nearby airport. Mt McKinley was beautiful.

Lots of moose on this trail, especially heading toward Kinkaid Park. Airplanes taking off and landing overhead make this interesting place. Nice bluffs make the shore an interesting place to spend a few hours. The best is the bike trail. Moose, occasional fox, eagles.

Point Woronzof is one of our most favorite things we have done while in Anchorage and consider it a MUST DO!!! You will see planes landing and taking off as you drive along the road but park in the parking lot and walk down the incline to the beach and go towards the small silo. Planes of all types flying... This area is a great place to take photos of the mountains across the bay. It is near the airport and is very easy to get to.

Great place and great view. Great view of the Inlet and Mountain Range across the Inlet. Great for photos and for watching jets take off and land at the airport. Good beach and trails to walk on also.
