getting there by car on via the coastal trail all the way from downtown Anchorage. Besides pedestrians you will meet people on bikes and moose and see and hear birds. The view ( Denali ?) is always worth it, even the mudflats at ebb time.

I always swing by on my way to the airport (day or night) before picking up visitors, to verify what that days view will be. The different weather conditions create the picture perfect introduction to Alaska and Anchorage - full moon or sunlight reflection on the buildings, snow covered mountains in the background, clouds hanging over the city, always beautiful.... Point Woronzof offers even the casual 2hour stopover in Anchorage a viewing opportunity. The sunsets are amazing when the air quality is bad, about 20% of the time. The tide can be seen moving like a river through the frozen flows of ice. The Skyline of Anchorage is prominent and unless you managed to catch an ice fogged day, it... More

Don't waste your time on this place. The only thing to see was quite disturbing on our visit since there was very limited visibility across the frozen water.

Amazing place to watch the frozen water move at a fast pace. Gorgeous scenery! Watch the icy path on the bluff as you get a closer view.

This is a great place to truly enjoy the grandeur of Anchorage. Look across Cook Inlet, enjoy the mountains, and just imagine what it must've been like when Captain Cook first sailed these waters. I can happily come here if I'm just killing a few minutes waiting for a friend to land at the airport, or if I want to... More

You can spend hours sitting there looking at the awesome view of downtown Anchorage along with Chugach and Tolkeetna mountains. The sight of planes taking off is really wonderful.

You can walk along the inlet, or you can just look at Sleeping Lady, or you can take pictures of Anchorage. It is just beautiful and peaceful, and a wonderful photo op! It is a place you should not miss, especially on a sunny day.

This is one of my favorite places to take newcomers to introduce them to Anchorage. The mountain and inlet views are unparalleled, and there is safe beach access. The airplanes coming in directly overhead may be a drawback for some, but others will find it a thrill.

A fantastic place for a sunset and to view Denali. Very nice.Went there a few times. Filling space, won't let me submit until I reach the required amount of words.
