Incredible views here! But my favorite thing is watching the planes flying directly over you and hearing the sonic boom. I wish that there were a fence or some sort of warning by the bluff. It would be a very steep drop.

We have been to Point Woronzof during December when the only other crazy people out at the point are cross country skiers passing through on the groomed trail. It can be really windy out there on the point when the temperatures are below zero and the windy is whipping up waves on Cook Inlet, But wow! what a view! If... More

It is an easy walk from the parking lot. And a nice walk on the beach. The view is beautiful. Not to hard for the young kids. We all enjoyed it.

I found this point by following the paved trails from park to park. It's very convenient and welcoming how these several parks are joined together and make for a great place to get some exercise in without making it painful. There were families with kids, moms with strollers, joggers, and people just enjoying their lunch or down time. The trails... More

My hubby & I headed out to Point Woronzof 3 different times on our week long trip. We loved the views from the hill and the great part was the HUGE planes that come in for a landing at the airport. You really feel small as they roar over your head!

This is a great site for photos of both the inlet and mountains. Do not get confused with the first lookout on the left of the road as that is not this site. Our GPS stated that we were at the point when literally the point was further down the road

Dress appropriately for the weather, bring a water proof mat, lay yourself on the green and keep starring to the sky, watch the jet big belly cruising right in above your head. Ear plugs would be a great addition, the roaring jet engine is really loud.

From this point just a few minutes from downtown is a picture postcard view of the city. Also within 50 yards of each other, I saw a moose and a bald eagle. Where else will you find that within city limits?

Nice park area. Good for walking, wildlife watching and airplane/airport viewing. Lots of friendly people and pets along the trails and roadways, watch out for the mosquitos
