We enjoyed our tour of Anchorage on the trolley. We thought the $20 fare was reasonable. The guide was knowledgeable about the sights we saw that day.

We usually like to take a bus or trolley tour whenever we visit a new city, as we find they help us get oriented and also target places we'd like to visit. This was an excellent way to get our bearings in Anchorage and learn more about the history. Our driver was very entertaining and knowledgeable--very able to answer our... More

Anchorage is a great little town and this trolley tour which is a friendly family run concern has cornered the market, it runs from next door to the visitor centre which is the log cabin with the grass roof. Its $20 and takes about an hour, they only take cash. The commentary is done by the driver and they give... More

I rated this as average since the narator talked so fast and was telling the same joke for the 1000th time. However, we would do it again if we were first time visitor to the area. We got a good overview of the city, a bit of history and a sense of the layout of the area. The trolley ride... More

This father-son team started this business several years ago, when they had to compete with a similar trolley tour, but they the lone survivor, and these guys are so affable with a clever dialogue make the trip very enjoyable, traveling to Earthquake Park, which looks like any forest now, but used to be like viewing the surface of the moon.... I just loved this tour it was awesome and the things I discovered about Anchorage were great will always remember Ria our tour guide and her stories about the Earthquake and her uncle in the dentist chair that day who thought he had to much Novocaine when he looked out the window and saw the road moving like a wave.... We were two couples who stayed in Anchorage overnight - to join our Alaskan cruise the next day. So we decided to join the City trolley Tour to see the sights of Anchorage. In most city we were used to the concept of Hop On - Hop Off tours where you can join the tour and get on and off... More

Our driver/tour guide was excellent. The trolley was full to the capacity but she kept us engaged and excited while she gave a thorough narrative of the city's history, including the red light district, and the earthquake. She was fun as well and shared some personal experiences, including an anecdote about the murals of the high school. The tour was... More

The City Trolley Tours are not to be confused with others. One gets a full tour of the city as well as some of the surrounding area and a lot of history of the city and the devastating earthquake.
