Kids of all ages can do lots of hands on experiments here. Very cool. Giant bubbles and kinetic energy, giant ball drop, all kinds of cool science stuff, and plenty of benches and bathrooms nearby, too.

We loved the science exhibits here and went back time after time to really explore them. Build an earthquake-resistant house, make waves that hit a tidal flat, make a hot air balloon rise, use pulleys to pull yourself up with one hand.... Visit earlier in the day and when the weather's nice to avoid the crowds. Use your membership at... More

This is inside the Museum, and it is a great hands on place for kids and adults of all ages. Our one year old had a blast along with the "two Adults" in tow! Great way to get some energy release.

What a great way to spend a few hours with your children. They can experience and learn from science first hand. Admission is included in the cost of museum admission. A must do for families with kids!

We have been to many of these types of attractions throughout the West Coast. My kids loved this place and kept thinking about how all of this stuff was like our trip to the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry in Portland, OR. Highly recommend for children of all ages.

This part of the Anchorage Museum has many activities for the kids. It is a great rain day activity. There are many hands on experiments that are interesting, fun, and investigative. There are assistants to help the children explore and learn about the topics.

While we really enjoyed our time at the museum today (July 31st, 2013), I must say that the highlight of the place is the Alaska Heritage exhibit on the second floor. The Imaginarium did amuse the kids for quite a while.
