I love taking my kids to this. It's a great way to introduce them to a museum and not be so afraid about them touching stuff! Very fun. I believe it's free after 3pm too! Bonus! More

The Imaginarium has definitely lost a lot of its character and kid friendliness since they moved into and merged with the museum. They used to have much more hands on science and demonstrations. The new Imaginarium (a science center) is now located within the Anchorage Museum. It has better exhibits with more explanation and is more geared to all age-ranges verses elementary school children. Its not as good as some science centers I have been to in the lower 48 in terms of size, but its great for an Alaskan offering. More
