We enjoyed visiting the Imaginarium a few months ago with the grand-daughter. A well attended, clean and operational hands-on series of activities for all ages. More

Lots of fun touching and exploring exhibits. Makes an adult feel like a kid. More

I love taking my kids to this. It's a great way to introduce them to a museum and not be so afraid about them touching stuff! Very fun. I believe it's free after 3pm too! Bonus! More

The Imaginarium has definitely lost a lot of its character and kid friendliness since they moved into and merged with the museum. They used to have much more hands on science and demonstrations. Kids used to be able to touch and hold some of the reptiles and such. They also used to have great learning programs. These all disappeared after... More

Great for kids as young as toddlers up through my age group...hehehe! I had a great time trying the different stations out too. The favorite always seems to be the giant bubble maker. More

This was one of the best sci and try museums I have visited. I had as much fun and my niece and nephew. The bubble room was awesome, I could have stayed all day. Unfortunately, not a lot of options for a healthy snack. More

The Imaginarium is one of the coolest things to do with your kids in Anchorage. Plenty of hands-on experiments to learn about science by having fun. Don't miss the Hoist Chair, where you effortlessly lift yourself up in a chair by pulling on a rope, the Bubble Makers, or the marine biology exhibits. If you have little ones, the toddler... More

I was here with 8 and 11 yr old and my sister (who had just turned 43). We all had a great time and were dazzled by the interesting displays. We only saw half of it because we were enjoying ourselves for almost 3 hours in 2 1/2 of the exhibits. My kids really like the Science Museum of St... More

The new Imaginarium (a science center) is now located within the Anchorage Museum. It has better exhibits with more explanation and is more geared to all age-ranges verses elementary school children. Its not as good as some science centers I have been to in the lower 48 in terms of size, but its great for an Alaskan offering. More
